Position Descriptions:

President: Presides over all meetings and acts as a representative to the Northwest community. Oversees all executive board members and delegates the council’s budget.

Vice President: Handles all duties of the President in their absence. Takes attendance and minutes for all meetings. Plans three afternoon programming events per semester. Manages two information tables in order to recruit new members.

Director of Media Relations: Takes charge of promoting every event through social media and traditional media. Handles relations with all media outlets. Designs and takes responsibility for retrieving showcase posters and flyers.

Director of Concert Programming: Responsible for, but is not limited to, planning one concert per semester. Takes responsibility for alternating genres and gathering student opinions and feedback on concerts.

Director of Special Events:Plans and coordinates entertainment and special event programming. Books a variety of entertainment acts throughout the year including, but not limited to, comedians, magicians, hypnotists, illusionists. Also responsible for planning events for major events on campus (Advantage Week, SOAR events, Family Weekend, Walkout Day, and Northwest Week).

Director of Lecture: Finds, plans and organizes speakers to come to campus for the lecture series. May work with Distinguished Lecture programmer. Books a minimum of three speakers per academic year; Contacts special interest groups for co-sponsorship opportunities or to provide information regarding lectures (i.e. relevant clubs and organizations, teachers, and outside community groups).

Director of Late Night Entertainment:Plans two Thursday night activities per month focusing primarily on "alternatives to alcohol" programming beginning at 9:00 p.m.

Director of Weekend Programming: Plans six – eight events per trimester. May have more than one event per weekend, but events should be on Friday or Saturday. Events are meant to encourage students to stay on campus during the weekends.
