Anything else you would like to share? / Tanya grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and moved to Baton Rouge in 1992 to pursue her degrees in English and Journalism. Always an avid learner and student at heart, Tanya decided to pursue obtaining her PMP after spending 8 years in Disaster Recovery project management.
In October of 2014, Tanya passed her PMP certification and since that time has obtained the 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs).
She is currently a member of the Louisiana Department of Revenue’s Project Management Office and works with multiple divisions and state agencies to help define and document business requirements as well as effectively implement projects and track the success of those projects.
In the time that she has spent with the agency, she has managed multiple types of projects including the following:
·  IT configuration projects
·  Data analytics tracking
·  Implementation of an incentive program
She also enjoys spearheading different types of team building activities and participating on different committees within the organization. Examples include the following:
·  Member of the Wellness Committee
·  Training initiatives (training other team members on PMBOK methodology)
·  Designed board to visualize division’s progress in line with goals that are set by the agency
As an advocate of constant learning, one of her primary passions is to motivate others to pursue personal growth.
