***Please note, we are not presenting or endorsing these photos as Bigfoot or creature tracks. We do not know who or what left these prints. We are presenting them as unusual tracks that appear to possibly have toes in the front of them. The terrain and weather/rain did not leave much in the way of details. We can only speculate and guess what left the tracks. There has been a long history of sightings, track discoveries, vocalizations recorded going back to 1922 if not earlier. During the 2009, 2010 and now 2011, there were a large number of sightings and encounters reported to and investigated by the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society. This is one of the cases of strange footprints/tracks we have investigated.***

The original report was filed on June 8, 2011 by a woman who wrote to us and submitted 7 photos. She told us of her brother in law and a friend who went back to this area to target shoot. While there, they witnessed a small herd of deer quickly exit the woods as if being pursued by something. They also reported a foul musky odor in the air, When they went over to investigate the area where they saw the deer, they discovered the tracks on June 8. They stated the tracks went on for hundreds of yards before turning into the woods. They walked along the dirt trail away from the parking area.

On June 8, 2011 in the afternoon, PBS member Chris Brinker arrived on site to investigate. He met the witness and was able to see a few tracks before being chased back to his truck by a severe thunderstorm which included high winds, heavy rains and hail. When the storm had passed he returned and the tracks he saw had been washed out.

Eric Altman, Chris Brinker, Terrie and Michael Mazagetti, Joyce Long, Shawn Dennis and his wife returned to the site on June 11, 2011 at 10:00 am. this is our follow up report with photos attached.

Update of the Pa Bigfoot Society unusual track discovery. Tracks were found on June 8, 2011 in Fayette County in S.W. PA. Please see my profile for photos of those tracks.

Today at June 11, 2011 at 10:00 am, 7 of us arrived at the remote location. the weather conditions were 71 degrees with an overcast sky. It had stormed and rained the night before and the area in question was very wet and had large puddles and pockets of rain water collected. The trail we walked on was wet and in some places muddy.

Our search began of the area where the tracks were discovered on Wednesday June 8, 2011. We found no signs or remnants of the tracks that were discovered in that area a few days prior.

The group of us decided to continue to walk the path to see if we could find any other tracks and to get a better understanding of the area. The group saw plenty of signs of common wildlife. We saw numerous deer tracks, raccoon tracks, turkey and ATV trails going up the trail in the direction we were walking. We noticed an abundance of berry bushes and a large creek ran parallel to us in the valley to our right.

The group did have some unusual activity and we did discover numerous strange human like tracks which have been measured and photographed. At this point, we can not conclusively say what the tracks were, or what left them. They were unusual and did resemble prints in the shape of human tracks with some showing possible toes in the front of the tracks. The group also encountered strange activity while we were there.

The unusual activity occurred to myself, and another member. While walking ahead on the trail about 50 yards in front of me on my left, a large animal shook a tree very violently for several seconds. I ran to the location and discovered no animal. Behind the tree is a rock outcropping which was very steep and I saw no signs of any animals at the tree or on the ridge above. I continued walking and the party behind me stopped and my brother in law and another member decided to explore a tunnel on the same side of the trail that I saw the tree shake violently. The two members went into the tunnel while the wife of one of the members waited outside. While waiting, she heard a loud low growl that lasted for several seconds. When the two men came out of the tunnel, the growling stopped. No animal was sighted.

Down the trail further from the original track discovery location, we began to find possible prints on the trail and mud. They were obviously older prints, but did appear to be left and right prints with what appeared to be a large toe and smaller toes in the front. The prints were much deeper than what we were leaving in the trail and they measured 13 inches long by 6 inches wide an 1 1/2 inches deep and a 37 inch stride between the tracks. We followed numerous tracks up on top of a hill near a pond before we lost them. I belive we found close to 20 or more possible prints. We cannot ascertain whether or not they were bigfoot prints or human prints, but where these tracks were found were about a mile further down the trail from where the original tracks were discovered on Wednesday morning.

Several measurements and photos were taken. At this point we can not ascertain who or what the tracks were left by, or if they were even tracks of a bare foot. We can say that they did resemble human like prints that measured 13 inches long, 6 inches wide and had a 36 inch stride between prints.

No other evidence or occurrences were reported.

The only question that leaves us asking is that if these were in fact prints left by a human bare foot, why would they be so far from the parking area, and why would someone be walking on the very rough trail with snakes and deer ticks a plenty? We will continue to investigate the area further and update as we get additional information.
