STUDENTS
Attention all seniors: There are free prom gowns and tuxedos to give to any senior interested in attending the LHS 2015 Prom. Please see Mrs. Darlene Riley in room 201 or Mrs. Betty Foster at the St. James Parish School Board Office for more details.
The LHS Publications class is selling Prom Shirts for $20. Shirts will be ordered at the end of February. Order forms can be picked up in the front office or Mrs. Clements class room 705 during 3rd lunch or 4th block.
LHS 4-H would like to help the American Heart and Stroke Association. From February 19-27, you can donate $1.00 to receive a red heart, $5.00 to receive a pink heart and any more than $5.00 a white heart. Hearts will be hung around the school to show our support. All proceeds go to the American Heart and Stroke Association. Hearts can be purchased in the cafeteria during all three lunches today or see flyers around school for teachers selling hearts.
4-H meeting today at 2:40 in Mrs. Duke’s room 511.
LHS 7th/8th-grade Spring Dance will be held on Thursday April 2. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the Door. T-shirt cost is $15 and order forms are in the front office.
Book fair will be open until Friday at Noon.
Prom
- A prom sign up will be taking place in the cafeteria during all lunches. Students planning on going to Prom must sign up first—so that discipline records can be checked. Once approved, you may purchase your tickets. Ticket cost is $50 per person.
- Out of school guest forms can be picked up in the office or library. You can also download a copy on the LHS website. Forms are due by next Wednesday, March 4. Once these forms are approved you may purchase your tickets.
SPORTS
Softball game today vs. Central of Baton Rouge at 4:30. Please excuse the girls at 2:00. Girls are to change at lunch.
Varsity baseball game away vs. St. Charles Catholic at 3:30.
7/8-grade softball home vs. J.B. Martin at 4:00.
Boys’ basketball playoff game vs. Neville Friday, February 27 at 7:00. Admission: $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.
Attention all football seniors: you may pick up your “poster size” picture from the dog pound this week.
