Public Notice of Proposed Improved Road Access from Wilmer Road to Mill Street, Birr including pedestrian and cycle access and alterations to car park.
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposal to improve the road access from Wilmer Road to Mill Street via the Wilmer Road car park including improved pedestrian and cycle route access. This work is in accordance with the Birr Active Travel Plan.. The improvement works include the following:
1. The provision of a new roadway, pedestrian access and cycle route from Wilmer Road to Mill Street through Wilmer Road Car Park which will be constructed using high quality paving, paving inserts, signage lighting and all associated civil works.
2. Relocation and refurbishment of the entrance into Mill Street from Wilmer Road Car park.
3. Re-configuration of the entrance from Wilmer Road to accommodate cycle and pedestrian access.
4. Additional Planting in Wilmer Road car park.
5. Pedestrian access across Mill Street.
6. Improved footpath on Mill Street including the provision of a set down area
Details of the proposed scheme will be on display between the hours of 9.30am to 1.300pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm on working days from Thursday 13th August to Wednesday 23rd of September 2015 the following office:
Birr Civic Offices, Wilmer Road, Birr, Co. Offaly.
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing before 4.00pm on Wednesday 7th October 2015 to Mr Tom Shanahan, Acting Director of Services, Birr Civic Offices, Wilmer Road, Birr, Co. Offaly.
