Top:

Cast on 48 sts with pink and work:

Change to white:

Rows 2 - 7: Garter stitch

Change to pink:

Row 8: Knit stitch

Row 9: K 8, cast off 4 sts, wrap the yarn around work (a little tight), cast off 4 sts, K 8,
