EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITS
Each individual will only be allowed to submit three (3) photos
Individual photos can be no smaller than 5” x 7”.
For series, no more than three (3) photos and they cannot be smaller than 4” x 6”.
Conservation message:
- Does the photo depict a soil and water conservation practice in a manner in which the viewer will understand what they should do or know?
TECHNICAL FACTORS:
Focus:
- Does the exhibit show proper use of the camera so the photograph is focused correctly?
Exposure:
- Does the exhibit show proper exposure and how proper exposure ensures correct color andoverall brightness?
- Was appropriate speed of film used for this exhibit?
Lighting:
- Does the exhibit show that the direction, quality, and characteristics of the light source wereproperly used?
Depth of Field:
- Does the exhibit show proper adjustment of the camera lens to cause areas wanted to be infocus would be and other areas would be out of focus?
Matting:Matting is not required but if it is used…….
- Does the finish enhance the exhibit?
- Do the mounting materials complement the exhibit?
- Are the size and color of mounting materials appropriate?
