REMINDER!

YEC MEETING

Chairman Daloisio has scheduled a meeting of the Young Executives Council for Monday,

February 11, 2008 at 5:45 PM in the CAEP Office. The topic for the meeting is: Bonding and Surety. It will be presented by Mr. Stephen Raffuel from Commerce Insurance Services. Following the meeting, there will be cocktails and Hors D’oeuvres at the Mahogany on Walnut at 6:45 PM.

2008 MEMBERSHIP DUES

The 2008 membership dues invoices for all active and associate members were mailed and are now due. If you did not receive an invoice, please contact the CAEP office and one can be mailed to you.

Reporting Forms

The 2007 reporting forms for all active members were mailed out and are due by February 29, 2008. If you are in need of another copy, please contact the CAEP office immediately.

OSHA 300 Logs

Please remember that OSHA Form 300-A

Logs must be posted no later than this Friday,

February 1, 2008 and must remain posted until April 30, 2008. All OSHA-Recordable injuries and illnesses that occurred in 2007 are to be logged in Form 300 and a summary is to be recorded in Form 300-A. CAEP Safety / Environmental Rep Meeting

The Contractors Association will host a Safety & Environmental Representative Meeting on Wednesday, March 12th at 10:00 AM. The meeting agenda will include information on current OSHA / EPA initiatives and focused inspections, National AGC Safety Awards, Developing Stormwater Plans, and guest speakers. AGC Safety Management Training Course – Charlotte, NC

On March 3, 2008, The Carolinas’ AGC will host the Safety Management Training course. The AGC Safety Management Training Course (SMTC) provides attendees three days of training on the basic skills needed to run a safety management program for the construction industry. Participants will receive instruction and training that will allow them to return to their firms with readily applicable new skills. Ideal candidates have responsibilities that include safety from firms that recognize safety as a paramount function. Participants must attend all sessions and pass a written exam to receive a certificate from AGC of America indicating successful completion of the course. The next ASHE Dinner meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, 1106 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406. The ASHE MeetingAnnouncements are in the mail. The social begins at 6:00 PM, the dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by the meeting at 8:00 PM.
