Peter Alan Lee Vine Memorial Scholarship

Object

1.  The object of the Scholarship is to provide assistance to Hong Kong students who wish to pursue tertiary studies in law in Hong Kong and who are in financial need.

Eligibility for the Scholarship

2.  All applicants must:

(a)  be residents of Hong Kong;

(b)  be accepted for enrolment or be enrolled in a law course in Hong Kong;

(c)  have obtained the following:

(i)  a cumulative or overall GPA of 3.3 in a non-law degree from an approved university in respect of an application for the Scholarship to study the Juris Doctor degree;

(ii)  a cumulative or overall GPA of 3.3 in a qualifying law degree from an approved university in respect of an application for Scholarship to study the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws;

(iii)  a minimum score of 30 made up of cut scores ranging from Level 3 to Level 5 in each of the subjects undertaken in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination in respect of an application for Scholarship to study the LLB degree.

(d)  not be in full-time employment;

(e)  prove financial need.

3.  Application form is available on the website of the Academy.

4.  Completed application forms together with supporting documents must be submitted before the period for acceptance of applications closes.

5.  The Academy may, at its absolute discretion, interview suitable applicants at such time and in such place in Hong Kong as it shall think fit. For the avoidance of doubt, the Academy may at its absolute discretion and without giving any reason refuse to interview any applicant.

6.  The Academy may make an offer of an award of such amount, at such time and may impose such condition or conditions as it may in its absolute discretion think fit without giving any reason.
