GENERAL INFORMATION

This booklet is issued prior to departure to give you and your parents the opportunity to discuss your trip.

Remember – For the duration of the trip: you are ambassadors for Kinross High School and as such school rules apply.

RULES

1. Students should remain in their allocated seat on the train and may leave them for toilets and food.

2. Students must respect the rules of the hotel and the instructions of the hotelier.

3. Students should remember they are representatives of Kinross High School and should conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner at all times.

4. Students WILL adhere to any decision made by ANY of the party leaders.

5. NO student will be permitted to drink alcohol, smoke or consume any illegal substances.

Should any student break any of the above, sanctions will be enforced at the discretion of any of the party leaders.

Be aware that any expensive electronic equipment is YOUR responsibility. The school does not cover any damage or loss to personal property.

Please remember that you will have to carry your own luggage: pack sensibly!

The trip will involve some walking – comfortable footwear is essential.

Important Notice

Staff cannot administer any medication or pain relief. It is important that you take any medication with you.


DRESS CODE

Pupils should dress smart/casual for theatre: preferably no denim jeans. Black is quite a good colour.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Pupils should remain in their allocated seat on the train and may leave them for toilets and food.

Pupils should bring books, magazines, puzzles or electronic equipment to entertain them on the train.

Travel will be by train from Inverkeithing to London and on foot and by Underground in London.

SHOPPING

·  Pupils are free to shop in and around Covent Garden (Wednesday) on the following strict conditions:

·  Pupils remain in groups of at least 3

·  The names of pupils in each group are given to staff

·  The proposed destination is reported to staff

·  Try to have one person with a mobile phone in your group

·  You must assemble at the meeting point after shopping time on time

There is a wide selection of well-known High Street stores and more individual shops around Covent Garden.
