Perspectives of the Civil War Letter- Major Grade Project

You have been learning about the causes of the Civil War and have been studying the people, events and impact the war has had on the the United States of America (Union) and the Confederate States of America (Confederacy).

Your task will be to write a letter from the perspective of a soldier from the war (assignments for which side of the war you are associated with will be determined by your teacher).

Your voice, emotions and loyalty should be clearly stated when writing about your country.

You will be completing your letter using Google docs and a template will be provided for you. You will be required to turn the letter in by sharing it with Ms. Mosher AND you will also be required to print out the letter for classroom purposes.

Each item from the letter template should be completed to receive full credit. You will be graded according to the rubric. Remember, this is a MAJOR grade and our effort will be needed. Letters turned in late will have the following deductions:

1 day late: -15 points

2 days late:-30 points

NO RUBRIC: -5 points

FRIDAY WILL BE USED FOR MAKE UP/LATE WORK

IF YOU WERE ABSENT OR ARE RUNNING LATE YOU WILL WORK ON THE LETTER INSTEAD OF WATCHING “TRUE WOMEN”
