REPORTING LINE OF THIS ROLE
MAIN FUNCTION OF THE ROLE
The job holder will have two primary functions:
· Client development: will be responsible for managing relationships with an allocated number of global institutional clients. This will include ensuring that client requirements and all agreed client deliveries are met as well as responding to ad hoc requests for information and maintaining records on the CRM database. The role will include responsibility for managing the take on process for new clients and working with the in house reporter and voting and engagement support team to ensure that accurate client reporting is delivered to deadline and to a high standard of quality. The job holder will be responsible for proactively building and expanding all relationships including scheduling, preparing for and participating in client calls and meetings as well as reactively responding to ad hoc queries. To fulfil the functions of the role the job holder will be required to build strong positive relationships with both internal and external clients.
· Business development: will be responsible for supporting those responsible for business development.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Client plans: create and/or update on a six monthly basis the client relationship plans for all assigned clients.
2. Day to day relationship and contract management: day to day management of relationships with allocated prospects & clients, ensuring the highest level of service e.g. query management, contract fulfilment.
3. Proactive communications: proactively schedule regular prospect & client contact including calls, meetings and presentations, preparing supporting documents and briefing directors in advance. Collate, prepare and deliver quality bespoke client materials in a timely fashion.
4. Reporting requirements: work with the in house reporter and operations team to ensure that the clients receive suitable quarterly reports.
5. Client take on process: administer and manage client take on process for allocated new clients
6. Supporting the business development process: for new prospects, including involvement in tenders and pipeline development. Maintain all relevant prospect & client related contact information on the CRM system.
7. Internal stakeholder management: build strong relationships with the wider EOS team to ensure that prospects & clients receive the highest standard of operational support
8. Event support: contribute to client, prospect and marketing events as required
Personal Specification
EXPEREINCE REQUIREDCandidates should have experience of working in a fast paced, client focused environment and must have a passion for client service and business development.
Previous experience of working with a global institutional client base is essential, as is experience in working with CRM databases. This experience is likely to have been gained within a financial or professional services institution, responsible investment industry or from working within an Investor Relations function.
CANDIDATE PROFILE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
The job holder should be committed, proactive, willing, diligent and responsible in undertaking all aspects of the role. Sensitivity in dealing with clients or prospects at a senior level is required as well as the flexibility to participate in a wide variety of client or prospect related tasks such as editing, coordinating responses to ad-hoc requests and preparation for meetings. The job holder should be able to deal with client or prospect matters of an urgent or sensitive nature and on occasion to deputise for the team head if needed.
The job holder should be analytical, resourceful and well organised to assist the business development process. Building good relationships with internal stakeholders such as directors, RFP and events teams is important.
Must be accountable for delivering on both regular duties and ad-hoc tasks. Should have a sense of urgency in execution and must be highly organised and be accurate with an eye for detail. Must be able to function well as part of a team and be happy to contribute towards the continuous improvement of process.
Demonstrable interest and experience of responsible investment will be an advantage.
Candidates must be educated to degree level and be advanced MS office users (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Strong literacy and numerical skills are essential. A second language is desirable as is knowledge of fund management and financial services.
