All volunteers must have a current Working with Children Check before commencing at the Library. Applications are free of charge for volunteers. Obtaining a valid check is the responsibility of individuals. Forms are available via online and at selected Australia Post outlets.

Availability for induction and training

Successful applicants will be required to attend two training sessions. Please tick the boxes beside all training sessions you are available to attend. You must attend both Induction Session 1 and 2.

Induction Session 1:

a)  £ Wednesday 14 February 2018 10am–1pm (this session must be chosen if you would like to Volunteer at White Night 2018, which will be held on the night of 17 February 2018)

c)  £ Wednesday 21 February 2018 5.30–8.30pm

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed. The Library does not accept all prospective volunteers. We endeavour to match the Library’s needs with the volunteer’s skills. The Library has a Volunteers Policy which sets out the responsibilities of both the Library and volunteers. Successful volunteers will be provided with training for their tasks and will have opportunities to improve their knowledge of the Library and meet other volunteers.

Interviews will be scheduled for the weeks of 5 and 12 February 2018.
