1.01930H Call to order- Welcome all and thank you HamiltonGeneralHospital for hosting tonight’s meeting.
2.0 Nomination for Treasurer tonight:Colleen Young nominates Christine Bilopavlovic. Christine accepted – congratulations!Christine has been permitted to complete a third term due to there where no volunteer candidates for the treasurer position. There where no objections from the members in attendance. The constitution will be updated to include this scenario for future nominations.
3.0Accept previous minutesNov/09 – minutes available on line.

Nancy can check the website to see how many ‘hits’- visits our website has received.Nancy encouraged the general membership to view minutes on line and remind hospital reps to print and post minutes for those to view.

5.0This year’s Provincial Conference is entitled ‘Empowering Perioperative Nurses 2010’: ‘What’s in your professional practice tool kit?’ The dates are April 25-28, 2010 in Niagara Falls, at the Sheraton Fallsview. On line registration is now open. The cutoff date is Mar 22/10 for earlybird registration. The code for hotel rates is ORD18A. All of this can be found on line. There is a link at the bottom of the accommodation page for hotel bookings. This year there will also be an exciting interactive workshop on the Sunday afternoon, more information will be posted soon but space is limited so please check the website so you don’t miss out.

Conference which were identified at the executive meeting last month are:Nancy

Berenyi. As a result of our successful fall conference I am happy to report that all 10
of the eligible members are the successful recipients of sponsorship. Thank you to
those who come out to the regional conferences to support your colleagues.
6.0Conference Committee: Colleen Young– Conference location is theCourtyard
Marriot in Hamilton on October 23rd, 2010. The theme is ‘Law and Order’.More
information to come.

7.1There is an opening for a speakerat theSeptember 2010 general meeting. Appeal to the membership.
Next meeting is April20, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton.
7.2 Nancy: what are the reasons for not joining ORNAHD?
Nancy discussed with the members the reasons why our
attendance is decreasing.
Video conferencing (web casting) – We would like to make this available to all
members but may be offered to our farthest membership area of the ORNAHD region
Maybe sponsorship from vendors for host hospital food costs?
Parking rates - post on flyer if not at your own cost
More dinner meetings will be suggested to the general membership.
