PeopleSoft 9.0: Student Center Overview

Beginning from the Student homepage, in the top left-hand column, are links to the Student Center and Additional Services. The Additional Services, such as Parking Decal Request, are boxed in orange and are accessed only from the Student Home Page. All other services are accessed from the Student Center. Click on the Student Center link.

There are some changes in the way data is displayed in the Student Center. Some of the links and items in the drop-down boxes in sections 1, 2 and 3 have been re-arranged. Let’s take a look at the Student Center by section.

Section 1: The Academic Section includes links to Search, Enroll, and My Academics. Under the other academics drop down box you can Apply for Graduation, run a Degree Progress Report, get Grades, view Course History, view your Transfer Credit Report and more.

Section 2: In the Finances section, you can make an Account Inquiry, Enroll in Direct Deposit, view your financial aid award, or accept/decline your financial aid award. Click on the Make a Payment button to use the online services to pay for your enrollment deposit, parking permit, registration fees, and other charges. Under “other financial…” you can see your account activity, charges due, payments, pending financial aid, and 1098T.

Section 3: In Personal Information, you can update your Emergency Contact information and Names. Under the other personal drop-down box, you can update contact information such as Addresses, Email, Phone Numbers and view Honors and Awards.

Section 4: The Search for Classes button will help you find classes for registration.

Section 5: A series of boxes that have information about Holds, your To-Do List, Enrollment Appointments, and, if assigned, your Advisor contact information.

Section 6: Cal Poly Pomona Links – includes three important links for students. You can check out the price of the textbook and required material for a given class, go to the advising website or get assistance through eHelp.

Student Services, whichincludes links to websites often needed by students, the Registrar’s Office, Student Accounting/Cashiering and Financial Aid.

In the last box, you can directly access your Blackboard account, Microsoft Outlook Live and voter registration.

Returning to the top of the Student Center, click on My Academics.

Many of the items in the drop-down box can also be accessed from My Academics. Currentlythis includes your Degree Progress Report, what-if scenarios, view of Transfer Credit Report, view of Course History, Unofficial Transcript and Applying for Graduation. Note the tabs on the top of this page. Some pages will have tabs and sub-tabs. This structure is integral to the look and feel of the new system. Click on the Search tab.

There are sub-tabs under the Search tab. The default takes you to search for classes or you can browse the course catalog by clicking on the other sub-tab. Click on the Enroll tab.

Sub-tabs under Enroll will take you to my class schedule, add, drop, swap and term information.

To return to the Student Center, use the go to… drop-down box.

After selecting Student Center, click on the Go button.

Click Home to return to the Student Home page or Sign out if you are done with your session.
