CLASS CONTENT

This course will be comprised of presentations on specific advanced topics in applied behavior analysis (see below) offered through the Pennsylvania Autism Institute sessions (Monday 8/7 through Wednesday 8/9) and dedicated classes Thursday 8/10 and Friday 8/11. Reading assignments and class handouts will be distributed by individual session faculty. No additional textbooks are required.

APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION: BASIC PRINCIPLES

CLASS MEETING AND ATTENDANCE

Classes will meet at the locations and times on August 6-11, 2000 as specified in the Pennsylvania Autism Institute Schedule. Class attendance is mandatory.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

QUIZ - One quiz will be given over the course material, based on the session contents and materials. The quiz will be multiple choice and will be given at a time to be announced the week of August 21. Make-up quizzes will not be given except in the event of student hospitalization or a death in the immediate family. Make-up quizzes must be completed within one week of the originally scheduled date. Locations for taking the quiz are TBA through Continuing Education (details to be provided).

ATTENDANCE – Class attendance is mandatory.

GRADING CRITERIA

PASS/FAIL CRITERIA - = 65%

LETTER GRADE CRITERIA - A = 90%, B = 80%, C = 70%, Fail = less than 65%
