Peabody Master Gardeners Volunteer role and network

Supporting local people and communities tobenefit from growing their own food on communal land or at home

/ We look for volunteers, preferably Peabody residents, with at least two years food growing experience and a passion to encourage others to have a go. Organic growing techniques are part of your training, so you don’t need to be an expert.
/ We ask for about a half a day a month. That’s 30 hours or more volunteering a year, at a time and place to suit.
Meet new people and share your growing knowledge
/ Support 3 or more residentson one of the selected Peabody estatesto start growing food, or grow more. Either in a shared growing space or at home.
Offer regular advice and encouragement to Peabody residents and/or groups for a 12 month growing season.

/ Promote food growing to your localcommunity through markets, festivals, events, talks, writing articles, your local community garden, to bring people together.
Estates are Dalgarno Gardens in Kensington and Chelsea; Blackfriars estate in Southwark; Clyde Road in Haringey; Cumberland Market in Camden and Rosendale Road in Lambeth.
