Course: ECONOMICS: An introductory course into the principles of economics. Course topics include Fundamental Economic Concepts, Microeconomic Concepts, Macroeconomic Concepts, International Economics and Personal Finance Economics

Honors economics requires students to explore and explain economic concepts at a higher level of learning than the basic course.

COURSE GRADING POLICY FOR BREAKDOWN OF CLASS WORK:

Tests/Projects – 60%

Quizzes, Daily Grades (homework; daily class work/student participation in class) – 40%

EXAM EXEMPTIONS: All students will be required to take the EOCT for courses in which it applies. Students may exempt the final exam (1 semester courses) or 1st semester post test (year long courses) for a course in the following way:

  • A student must have an average of 70 or above
  • Miss no more that 2 days per semester
  • Must pass the Economics EOC

MAJOR PROJECTS OR ASSIGNMENTS AND DUE DATES: May be assigned during the year.

CLASS RULES ARE ATTACHED. THE TEACHER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES IN CONTENT AS NEEDED.
