6th Annual Patterson’s Got Talent
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Patterson Education Foundation’s fundraiser, Patterson’s Got Talent. We are excited to provide this opportunity to showcase local talent while raising money for programs that benefit children and schools in our community.
A complete Audition Application packet, including payment, must be submitted for approval prior to your audition. Auditions will be held March 6, March 7, March 8, 2018; a maximum of 24 acts will have the opportunity to audition on each date. We encourage you to take advantage of Early Registration – Submit a complete Audition Application, with payment by February28th at 5:00 pm and receive $5 off your audition fee.
To be selected as a finalist, an act must receive an average score of at least 70; approximately 15 acts will be selected from those who audition on one of the two audition dates. Finalists will compete against each other at Patterson’s Got Talent on March 24, 2018 at 7:00pm in the Professional Development Center 530 Keystone Blvd. Finalists will be notified via e-mail/Phone by 5:00 pm on March 14, 2018. Finalists must confirm receipt of e-mail by 5:00pm on March 16, 2018.
If you choose to audition, you must be available for the technical rehearsal and for the competition in the event you are chosen as a finalist in Patterson’s Got Talent. Technical/Dress rehearsal for finalists will start at 6:00pm on ThursdayMarch 22nd at the Professional Development Center 530 Keystone Blvd. The competitionstarts at 7:00pm on March 24, 2018. Finalists must be backstage with dress and makeup by 6:00pm.
A grand prize plaque will be awarded to each age bracket (Adults and Youth) for the act earning the most points during Patterson’s Got Talent.In case of a tie: Judges will make a final decision.
General admission tickets for Patterson’s Got Talent are $10.00. Student admission with valid student id is $5.00. Finalists will be admitted free of charge; anyone accompanying a finalist must purchase a ticket. Tickets will be available at the door.

To Whom It May Concern:
I, ______, as a participant in Patterson Education Foundation: Patterson’s Got Talent, do voluntarily submit my image, voice and performance as part of the audition and selection process.
On behalf of my heirs, my assigns, and myself, I transfer and assign all of the rights, titles, and interest I may have with respect to my specific image, name, voice, and performance of any kind in said Patterson Education Foundation: Patterson’s Got Talentaudition and selection process to be used by the Patterson Education Foundation aka PEF.
My permission and assigns as granted is restricted to Photos, PowerPoint, videotape, audiotape, CD and DVD formats, which are used solely for the following purposes:
#1. To encourage other applicants to participate in current and future, Patterson’s Got Talentand other PEF programs.
#2. To attract sponsors and donors as contributors of funds for current and future, Patterson’s Got Talent and other PEF programs.
I understand that the permission granted by my signature below, may include articles in newspapers, viewings on television channels, mail and other postings.
This permission is granted with the express disallowance for any products created from my performance to be used for personal profit or personal financial gain of any individual.

Audition Agreement
Please signify your understanding and agreement byinitialing each item.
______1. Communication will be through e-mail; I must provide a current, working e-mail address.
______2.My Audition Application packet must be completed, including written parental consent for all minors, and submitted to PEF for approval prior to my audition; all audition fees must be paid in full prior to my audition. I understand that I will only be allowed to participate in one audition.
______3.I understand a maximum of 24 acts will be allowed to audition on each date; audition applications will be processed and scheduled as they are received. I am aware the Early Bird Registration is available.
______4.When I audition, I agree to be available for the technical rehearsalMarch 22, 2018 and the final show on March24, 2018. If selected to perform at Patterson’s Got Talent on March 24, 2018, I understand I must perform the same act that I performed during the audition.
______5.I understand I must furnish any equipment needed for my act during the audition and, if selected during Patterson’s Got Talent.
______6.A total of 5 minutes is allowed for my act. My performance must not be longer than 5 minutes; if my performance exceeds this time limit, I will be disqualified. My act will be given no more than 30 seconds to set-up and no more than 30 seconds to exit the stage.
______7.I must complete any tuning of instruments or other preparations before my audition time. I must carry on all props, instruments, scenery, stools, etc. within the stated time limit.
______8.I MUST submit one (1) copy of my performance music (if applicable) in CD format. I understand each CD may only contain the one song I use during my performance and a back-up song (in case of a tie) the song must be an instrumental or karaoke track. It is my responsibility to collect the CD‘s after the performance.
______9.Judges have been carefully selected. I accept these judges and agree to abide by their decisions. In case of a tie score, judges make a final decision. There are NO appeals; judges’ decisions are final.
______10.Performers, relatives of performers, and other individuals may not approach any judge at any time; an attempt to communicate or otherwise interact with any judge by a performer, a relative of a performer, or other individual on behalf of the performer will lead to disqualification of the performer.
______11.Only one plaque will be awarded to the first-place act in the Adult division and one plaque for the Youth division inPatterson’s Got Talent.
______12.If selected as a finalist, I do not need to purchase a ticket for Patterson’s Got Talent; anyone accompanying me who is not a finalist performing on stage must purchase a ticket.
______13.If selected as a finalist for Patterson’s Got Talent, I will arrive backstage no later than 6:00pm with complete makeup and costume (as appropriate) and will remain backstage during the entire performance with the exception of my actual performance on stage.
______14.I understand only performer’s will be allowed backstage at Patterson’s Got Talent.
______15.Any performer or relative of a performer who misbehaves or is disrespectful of the judges, PEF members and volunteers, other performers, and /or audience members will be disqualified and banned from participating in any future PEF events.
