This Week at FBC

Office Hours: Judy will be in the office on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10am - 1 pm. Office is closed Tuesday.

Monday: 6:30 pm ~ FB Women. All men and women are invited to gather for dessert after which Lola Mather-Dyer will tell us of her recent mission trip to Cuba. Everyone is welcome.

Tuesday: 1:30 pm ~ Choir Practice

Wednesday: 7:30 pm ~ Quarterly Business Meeting to be held in the lower hall.

Thursday: 9:30 am ~ Ladies Bible Studywill be held at the home of Ruth Ross. All ladies are invited to come together for a time of fellowship and study in the Gospel of John. Coffee is on by 9:30, study at 10 am.

7:30 pm ~Evening Bible Study resumesand will be held atCaressant Care. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Friday: 1:00 pm ~A time of prayer for God’s direction for our church as we think through together God’s mission for us today. Meet in the Pastor’s office.

Custodial Duties ~ There is need for people to do custodial duties for the month of October. Please speak to Norm Ellis if you can help in this way.

Accessibility Project for the Lift ~ Funds are still needed towards the total cost of the lift. It was voted unanimously at the June 2015 Quarterly Business Meeting to raise the funds. Donations are greatly appreciated.

will be held in the Church Hall at Knox Presbyterian Churchin support of their Tower Restoration project. Antiques, handmade furniture, household items, gift certificates, gift cards, personal services, food items, tours. Lunch available. Everyone is welcome.

Oxford Presbytery Rufugee Sponsorship Committee

The next meeting of the committee is scheduled for the last Tuesday in October, the 27th, at 6:30 PM at St. David's. The Mira family is adjusting well to life in Canada. Mohamad and Manal have started attending formal ESL classes at Blossom Park on a daily basis. Maysam and Mayam are attending Laurie Hawkins Public School in Ingersoll. Sama is in daycare in Woodstock. Transportation is an ongoing need, shuttling the family between Ingersoll and Woodstock. There is a drop-in Open House scheduled for St. David's on Sunday, October 2nd between 1:00 - 3:00 pm. All are welcome to come and meet the family and the committee over coffee and cookies.
