Pass Rates on Content Licensure Tests for Initial Licensure
For both the initial undergraduate and graduate programs, the Indiana Department of Education requires Praxis I and Praxis II, as the licensure test/assessment for content knowledge. Praxis I scores are used as one of the criteria for admittance into the Education Program, assessing students’ basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Praxis II assesses content knowledge in the secondary content areas and assesses elementary education candidates’ overall knowledge of pedagogy elementary school curriculum.
Analysis of Findings
From 2009-2011 the overall passing rate for Praxis I in the alternative(graduate) program was 100% as compared to the state average 98 %. From 2009-2011 the overall passing rate for PRAXIS I in the traditional program (undergraduate) was 98% as compared to the state average of 99.6%. From 2009 -11 the overall passing rate for PRAXIS II in the alternative(graduate) program was 100% as compared to the state average 98%. The passing rate for 2010-11, is yet to be confirmed by the Title 2 report .

Interpretation of Data
A review of Praxis I scores for teacher candidates from 2009-2011 in the Alternative Program (graduate) reveals a continued passing rate of 100%. Content scores for both the traditional and the alternative program consistently exceed the State Qualifying Score.
