PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN CZECH CITIBANK AND DIRECT POJIŠŤOVNA SET TO BRING CUSTOMERS OF BOTH COMPANIES A RANGE OF ATTRACTIVE BENEFITS

Citibank Europe plc, organizační složka and DIRECT Pojišťovna celebrates the new cooperation thanks to which their customers can enjoy highly attractive benefits when using partner products.

All Citibank customers will receive a discount of 10 percent when taking out compulsory motor damage liability or motor accident insurance with DIRECT Pojišťovna and a 20 percent discount on household or property insurance.What is more, whoever pays for insurance from DIRECT Pojišťovna using a Citi credit card will have a special bonus of CZK 300 returned to their credit card account.

Apart from broadening the range of services on offer, one of the principal motives behind the partnership was the chance of using the experience both companies have in terms of obtaining new customers via online channels.

“The Internet is a very important sales channel for us.More and more of our future customers want to decide on financial matters from the comfort of their own homes and not at a branch.Customers can apply for a Citi credit card online over the computer, something which customers at DIRECT Pojišťovna are sure to appreciate,” explains Ivana Vávrová, Internet projects manager atCitibank.

“DIRECT Pojišťovna is an insurance company based on the modern distribution channels of the Internet and telephone.We decided to offer Citibankcustomers some of the best-priced insurance on the market under exceptionally attractive conditions,” says Radek Šmejkal, commercial manager at DIRECT Pojišťovna responsible for cooperation with partners.

The ways of saving money with a Citi credit card continue to grow thanks to this new partnership.What is more, one of the cards, the Shell Mastercard from Citibank, is directly aimed at drivers, who can save 5 percent when paying for fuel at Shell filling stations in the Czech Republic.

Since its launch on the Czech market DIRECT Pojišťovna has offered customers motor insurance, that is compulsory motor damage liability and motor accident insurance.It broadened its product portfolio in April of last year to include property insurance (including property and household contents insurance) and personal liability.
