CAPAwascharteredin1976andcurrentlyboastsamembershipinexcessof300current,retired andstudentmembersandanarrayofnon-member affiliateprocurement professionals throughouttheCommonwealth ofVirginia.OneofCAPA’smainobjectivesistoestablish cooperative relationships amongprocurement individualsforthedevelopment ofefficientand effectivepurchasingmethodsandpracticesinthefieldofeducational,governmentalandpublic institutionalprocurement.TheFallConferenceisdesignedtopromote,educateandmaintain PurchasingProfessionalism andproficiencyinthefieldofpublicsectorpurchasingandmaterial management.ThisisalsoanopportunityforCAPAmembersandgueststomeetwithvendors oneonone.

ParticipationatourFallConferenceisexpectedtoreachapproximately140+professionals,which includesthevendorexpositionthatshowcases local, MicroandSmall,WomenandMinority (SWaM)Businesses,ContractandNon-ContractVendorsandnationally-recognizedcompanies.

Inanefforttocelebrate the hardworkanddedicationof our procurementprofessionals,CAPA is respectfully requesting adonationofanysupplies or promotional items such as Pens, Pencils, Notepads, Cups, Trinkets, etc. to help support the Fall Conference event andto be handed out to the participantsofthisConference. Companies may also submit line cards or company brochures/flyers to be placed in the conference bags that will be handed out to all attendees of conference.

The Capital Area Purchasing Association will be hosting our annual Fall Conference and Vendor Exposition on Friday, September 15, 2017 located at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. Participation at our Fall Conference draws approximately 140+ purchasing professionals a year, which also includes the vendor exposition that showcases the Vendors. This conference provides an opportunity for your company to attract and increase visibility for your business from the procurement professionals participating from an array of state agencies, higher education institutions, localities and the many other purchasing entities attending the conference.

There are six (6) levels of sponsorship available for this event. Due to limited spots, exhibitor spaces are available on a First Come, First Reserved Basis.
