Young Harrow Foundation (YHF) Office Administrator

Responsible to: YHF CEO

Salary: £13 per hour

Hours: 8 hours per week (flexible hours/days)

Role: Office Administrator

Location: YHF Office/Rayners Lane

Young Harrow Foundation (YHF) is a new charity that has been set up to work with inspirational organisations providing services focused on young people in the London Borough of Harrow.

With initial 3 year funding from John Lyon’s Charity and City Bridge Trust, we are into our second year of providing fundraising support to help local organisations source and secure funding for new and existing pieces of work, enabling them to deliver the most effective provision possible.

This post can be flexible around the needs of the right candidate and we are happy to discuss the use of hours which may include a range of options such as a term-time only timetable, one 8 hour day, 2 half days etc..

Key areas of responsibility

Operations

·  Administer general enquiries to the organisation

·  Provide administrative support to both the CEO and small team.

Finances

·  Process invoices, receipts and payments, using finance software (YHF currently

use Quick books)

·  Support CEO to produce end of year accounts.

Person Specification

Experience:

·  Organisation administration

·  Report writing

·  Finance administration using software or excel spreadsheets

·  Meeting administration (including minute taking and preparation of papers)

·  Responding to general enquiries

·  Organising meetings and events

YHF understand that candidates may not have experience in every area, however it is essential that you have experience in the majority of areas.

Skills:

Essential

·  Excellent communication skills

·  IT literate - strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required.

·  Finance management skills

·  Effective time management skills

·  Organisational Skills

·  Ablity to respond to the various aspects related to work within a small organisation

·  Ability to pay attention to detail

·  Ability to make reasoned decisions

·  Ability to plan and prioritise workload within a context of multiple demands

·  Ability to relate to and work with professionals in a variety of contexts

Desirable

·  A good understanding of the voluntary sector

·  Knowledge of Quick Books?
