Part One: Funding and Building an Audience

a)  What is Kickstarter? Research what the company does, how the company makes money and why the producers of Indie Game: The Movie might wanted to use it.

2. Producers now use many different ways to market a film to their desired audience. It used to be that they had to rely on a film trailer and posters to let their audience know about their film, but with new media technologies there are a number of different ways to get the word out.

Explain the strategy the producers of IGTM had when connecting with their audience and describe how they used new technologies to do that.

c)  Choose a film that is coming soon and explore how the film is being sold with new technologies. It might be youtube channels, twitter accounts, video games or phone apps. Evaluate how successful it is at connected with a specific audience.
