Part 3 – Question, Hypothesis, Prediction.

1)  The Chemist has already asked the question. What question does he want your experiment to answer?
2)  What hypothesis have you created that will help you answer the chemist's question?
3)  What prediction have you made regarding the results of your experiment?

Part 4 – Design the procedure.

1)  List your dependent variable:
2)  List your independent variables:
3)  List your controlled variables:

Your procedure must also include the level of treatment, replication rate and control group. So what is your:

4)  Level of treatment:
5)  Replication rate:
6)  Control:

Part 5 – Write your procedure.

Write your procedure in a method that your laundry technician can follow. You can use as your guide the sequence that you followed when you did the virtual lab salsa testing. Remember:

1)  You should have a series of steps to follow.

2)  Each step should be easily understood.

3)  To include steps on recording results.

You should write your completed procedure below. Use additional paper if needed.

1)  Hypothesis
2)  Prediction
3)  List your dependent variable:
4)  List your independent variables:
5)  List your controlled variables:
