Feast of All Saints – Wednesday 1st November

Holy Day of Obligation

v  Presentation to Fr. Paul: We will have an evening get-together with Fr. Paul O’Driscoll on Wednesday 8th November at 7.30p.m when we will make a presentation to him on behalf of the people of Castledermot. All are welcome to the gathering. If you would like to make a contribution towards the presentation, envelopes are available for this purpose at the back of the Church. These envelopes are also available in the Parish Office. You can return them, including your donation to the Parish Office or put them in the box at the end of the Church at the Saturday or Sunday Masses.

v  Rev. Bill O’Shaughnessy- First Mass: It is with great hope and joy that I look forward to celebrating my First Mass of Thanksgiving in the Church of the Assumption in Castledermot on Wednesday the 15th November at 7.00pm. There will be an opportunity to receive my First Blessing after Mass, which will be followed by refreshments in Teach Diarmada. All are very welcome. I would be honoured and delighted if you could join me in giving thanks to Jesus Christ for my Ordination to the Priesthood. In the meantime, please keep me in your prayers as I prepare. Thank you, and may the peace of Christ be with you and your Family – Bill O’Shaughnessy.

v  Bishop Eamonn Walsh Celebrates Mass in Castledermot: Wed 1st November at 11.00a.m. We thank Bishop Eamonn for coming to celebrate mass with us.

v  Castledermot Conference of St. Vincent De Paul: Would like to advise people who need help with fuel or other assistance over the Christmas period to apply to them before 17th November 2017.They are not supplying toys this year and would like to thank the

people of Castledermot, Moone, Levitstown and Kilkea for their donations throughout the year. Apply for help by texting your name and address to 085-1778060.

v  Altar List of the Dead: This list is compiled during November each year. The evening Mass on the First Friday all year round is offered for all remembered in this way. Please use the purple envelope in your box of Parish envelopes or send in your own list to be included.

v  Castledermot Community Services: Would like to invite you to their Annual Christmas Party on Sunday 19th November in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow for lunch at 1pm followed by Music & Dancing till 6pm.
