West Herts NHS Trust runs a variety of antenatal classes. These are available to all women booked to have their babies at Watford Maternity Unit and you can choose to go to locations in Watford, Hemel Hempstead or St. Albans, whichever more convenient – usually booked at Week 16-20 and all subject to availability. We offer various courses/sessions as follows (allowing ONE COURSE per couple):-
FIRST TIME PARENTS
COUPLES EVENING – 4 WEEK COURSE (730-930PM) ( )

COUPLES ONE STOP – WEEKEND (SAT OR SUN -10-4) ( )

*This course is designed for women/couples booking onto the midwifery-led low risk Alexandra Birthing Centre (ABC). Topics include: pain relief, labour, delivery, positions & breathing, plus full tour of maternity unit.
