PTC finances to date
Harvest Fest $ earned - over $1500
Ideas for next year - Request one bag of candy and one baked good from each family. The Cake Walk was short and there is a ton of candy leftover.
Encourage more volunteers - not enough this year. Some games could not be run.
Papa Murphy’s takeover $ earned $216
QPS can host a monthly takeover if desired. Mr. Mucken suggested having a focus for the fundraiser so funds aren’t always used for general needs but rather placing a specific need (eg. 5th grade outdoor school, 2nd grade Opal Creek, etc)
Auction Patti & Becky update
Volunteer sign-up sheet in school hall. Please take a look.
Fri 12/2 starting in the morning, volunteers needed to transport auction items from QPS to Eola Viticulture Center.
Sat 12/3 Volunteers needed for set-up, starting in the AM. Exact time TBA soon.
Other volunteer needs for 12/3 include: Raffle ticket monitors from 5-6:30pm, computer check-in, silent auction monitors, help w/Bingo machine, clean-up and transportation of decorations/items left (post auction).
Mr. Mucken recommended volunteers consider “shadowing” experienced volunteers that will not be at QPS much longer.
Items needed for auction - Gift cards as well as kid-friendly items (Christmas gifts).
How many class projects completed? Pre-K, 2nd, 5th. Deadline Nov. 18th. Finished projects are on display in the school.
Raffle Ticket - encourage to sell one ticket to a friend or family member unable to attend auction. If you are planning to attend, purchase ticket the night of in order to receive the raffle bracelet.
Outstanding procurement - Deadline Nov. 18th.
It was stressed the importance of RSVP’ing ASAP (by no later than 11/18). Patti and Becky need to have a head count for the caterer.
Community Builder Events
March & May need class hosts.
Kindergarten - March
3rd - May
QPS Color or Mud run end of May or beginning of June.
Mr. Mucken spoke briefly about the possibility of a color run or mud-run fundraiser in place of the Golf tournament if no chair steps up. The golf tournament has raised between $6000-8000 in the past. These are funds that are counted on and needed. We will revisit this in January.
School newsletter
Mr. Mucken proposed emailing the newsletter via a link to the school website instead of an attachment. This would be a huge time saver for the front desk. There were no objections.
Open Discussion
Reminder to Room Reps to communicate with classroom parents. General updates on parties, auction projects, are very much appreciated. If PTC chairs communicate with room reps, it is assumed room reps will forward info to classroom parent.
There will be NO PTC meeting in December.
