PUC’s World Missions program strives to make the Student Missionary experience accessible to all qualified students, as well as adhering to the IRS code for receiving tax-deductible donations. To accomplish these goals, all prospective Student Missionaries are required to raise the same amount of money regardless of where they serve.* Donations are placed in one fund from which all Student Missionary expenses are paid. This amount is based on the expense of the entire Missions program. Individual Student Missionary expenses vary considerably, yet the program becomes available to all by Student Missionaries cooperatively raising the same amount of funds.

In support of the full World Missions program, all prospective Student Missionaries will raise the amount of $2500.

Some items covered by the $2500 include, but are not all of the World Mission expenses:

Ø  Round trip airfare

Ø  Required immunizations (up to $250)

Ø  Visa expenses

Ø  Passport picture costs

Ø  Health Insurance

Ø  Police clearance expense

Ø  Fingerprinting fees

Ø  Fundraising envelopes for donors

Ø  Postage costs

Ø  Student Missionary Retreats

Ø  Other program expenses

$1250 of the required amount should be turned in to the Missions Office no later than Friday, April 1, and the remainder by Friday, May 6.

I understand that I will be awarded a scholarship of $1,200 for a year’s service upon returning to PUC after successfully completing my mission term, and attending the pre-Vespers Dinner and Returned Retreat. I understand that I must contact the Mission’s Office when I return and sign the “Returned Missionary Form” in order to receive this scholarship.
