Race Details

P4 and P5 boys and girls will run 1 lap – 800m - 1,000m (depending on venue)

P6 and P7 boys and girls will run 2 laps – 1,600m - 2,000m (depending on venue)

S1-S6 boys and girls will run 3 laps – 2,400m - 3,000m (depending on venue)

Health & Safety

- If the number of entrants warrants it, for safety reasons, more than one race per age group may be held. (Age groups running the same distance may also be combined if numbers are low for a particular class).

- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and everyone must stay off the running field until called by the organisers.

- Qualified first aiders will be present at all events.

Results

- A copy of the results will be emailed to all competing schools and clubs.

- This year a trophy will be awarded to the school and athletic club with the most points at the end of the series, individual age group winners will receive a medal.

- Points will be gained from places in the individual races i.e. 50 points for first place, 49 for second place, etc. The best 3 races will count for individual scoring and all five races will count for school/club prize.

Prize Giving

Schools, club and individual trophies will be presented on the 7th of March at the last race in the series.

Litter

Please dispose of all litter in a proper manner.

Volunteers

More help is always appreciated at our events so if you would like to volunteer to help out on the day please indicate this on the consent form.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation leading up to the event you will be contacted via email or txt which you must reply to with your child’s name and class to show that you have received it. If the event is cancelled on the day or we have not heard back from you, you will be contacted via a telephone call. The event will be rescheduled for the next available date.

To qualify for the advance entry fee your consent form must be in by Friday 31st October.

Payment must be brought to the first race. Advance entry fee is £10 for the whole series (five races), cheques made payable to Fraserburgh Running Club, entries received after 31st October or on the day of a race will be charged at £3 per race.
