1959High School playoffs began with state schools listed either A or AA; JeffersonCounty was AAA.

1967The Red Devils were put on 2 years probation and banned from the 1967 playoffs by KHSAA commisioner Ted Sanford for altercations that occurred both during and after the season-ending football game with Henderson in November, 1966.

1975When the KHSAA increased the number of classes to four, Owensboro became 4-A.

2007When the KHSAA increased the number of classes from four to six, Owensboro moved to 5-A.
