Tips for Success
- Begin by making a list of women to invite. Typically 10-15 invites is plenty for a skin care or spa class. Invite 20-25 for a Mary Kay Product Preview. (Usually between a third and a half of the people you invite will come to your party)
- Call each guest to personally invite them about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks before your party. Contact these women again a day or two before the party to get a response from them.
- For a skin or spa class you’ll want to have about 7-10 “yes” responses to insure there will be at least 4 women at the appointment. Let your guests know you must have a “yes or no” because the appointment is by reservation only and space is limited.
- You’ll also want to let your guests know that they are not obligated to purchase anything, but they will get to pamper themselves. Generally, appointments last no longer than 1-1/2 hours.
- This is a ‘girl’s night out’ and your time without the kids! Enjoy it! You and your guests will have more fun when you are all relaxed.
- I will call you for your guest list at 1-1/2 weeks before the appointment so I can send out invitations. The invitations will serve as a reminder.
- I will arrive 15-30 minutes early to set up.
- Feel free to serve simple refreshments, guests can munch on these AFTER we finish our class.
- Show the catalog and collect outside orders from anyone who can’t attend to help you boost your sales and earn free products.
