Overview
The Evergreen Region Beach Volleyball Training Center Certification is designed to create partnerships between the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball and beach volleyball training providers throughout the Region with the purpose of ensuring that every member of the Evergreen Region has access to the highest standard of Beach Volleyball Training available and that the highest quality of beach volleyball training programs are actively and aggressively promoted to the junior members of the Evergreen Region.

Certified Beach Volleyball Training Programs Agree To:

  • Only use USA Volleyball Registered and background screened instructors to train their athletes.
  • Follow all rules and procedures concerning General Liability and supplemental insurance requirements through Esix Global and USA Volleyball.
  • Require their instructors to maintain the minimum level of beach volleyball coach certification required by the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball.
  • Provide an overview of their training programs to the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball.
  • Require all participants of their programs to maintain a minimum of a summer membership with USA Volleyball Evergreen Region.
  • Display Evergreen Region and USA Beach Volleyball logos on websites, fliers and other promotional materials as appropriate.
  • Provide a roster of members participating in their program for insurance compliance and marketing purposes.

USA Volleyball Evergreen Region Agrees To:

  • Endorse and promote only Evergreen Region Certified Beach Volleyball Training Programs to its members.
  • Provide marketing of Certified Beach Volleyball Training Programs on Facebook and email newsletter communications directed towards Evergreen Region USA Volleyball Members.
  • Provide General Liability and Supplemental Medical insurance through Esix Global as requested by the Certified Beach Volleyball Training Programs.
  • Work to actively find partnerships and events that will be of additional benefit to the members of certified beach volleyball training programs. These events will include but not be limited to: USA and Evergreen Region Volleyball Beach programing, partnerships withuniversity sand volleyball programs, development of recruiting avenues for athletes that participate in the certified beach volleyball training programs.

Benefits and Further Details of This Program

  • Certified training programs will be contracted providers of services to the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball. This will allow them to function on behalf of the Region with regards to partnerships with universities offering sand volleyball programs and other organizations promoting the development of sand volleyball.
  • Certified training programs will not be “clubs” within the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball. This allows for greater flexibility in the marketing and promotion of Certified Training Programs by the Region to its members.
  • Certified training programs will have access to organizational and instructional resources provided by the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball and special access whenever possible to resources provided at the National level by USA Volleyball.
  • Members of Certified Training Programs will receive special benefits when participating in other Evergreen Region events including but not limited to, early registration, discounted pricing, special prizes and other considerations.

Certification Terms and Duration

  • The duration of certification will be one USA Volleyball Membership year. All term will expire on Oct. 31 of the calendar year.
  • Application for certification must be completed annually by the certified training partner and accepted by the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball.
  • Certification agreements may be terminated at any time for any reason by either party with written notification.

Checklist of Requirements to Become a Certified Training Program

  • Complete Certified Training Program Annual Application Form and submit to Evergreen Region Beach Volleyball Coordinator.
  • Send detailed description/handbook of training program provided to ERVA Region Beach Volleyball Coordinator.
  • Send database of all coaches, athletes and administrators participating in the program.

These members will be given permission by the region to access the Club’s member information in the USAV online system. They will have complete club management access and thus be able to create teams, assign members or move members from team to team as well as email club members.

In addition to myself and the Assistant Club Director, we, authorize the Evergreen Region to give database access to the people listed above.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: ALL JUNIOR OUTDOOR DIRECTORS ARE REQUIRED TO READ, AGREE AND COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLES FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE JUNIOR OUTDOOR TO BE IN “GOOD STANDING” AND TO BE AFFORDED THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES AVAILABLE TO JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL OUTDOOR PROGRAMS IN THE EVERGREEN REGION.

Preamble: The primary mission of the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball is to promote the sport of volleyball throughout our region and create playing opportunities for players of all ages. We require a safe and secure environment for our junior players and therefore require all adults affiliated with a junior outdoor volleyball program to be fully registered, IMPACT certified, SafeSport certified and background screened prior to participating in any USAV sanctioned activities. We expect all adults affiliated with Junior outdoor volleyball players to conduct themselves in a respectful and honorable fashion and we extend that same expectation to Club Directors to enforce with their coaches, chaperones, and volunteers.

PRINCIPLE 1 – REGION GUIDELINES

  1. I agree to abide by all Evergreen Region policies, procedures, rules and guidelines posted in the Participants Handbook.
  2. I agree to be fully registered, background screened, and complete USAV SafeSport training while representing any USAV junior outdoor volleyball club.
  3. I agree to require all USAV members to register themselves using the USA Volleyball WebPoint online registration system. I understand that Outdoor Directors and/or Outdoor Administrators may not register other members due to legal waiver and liability requirements.
  4. I agree to not allow others to use my WebPoint administrator login information. I understand that only authorized administrators may access the data in the WebPoint system.
  5. I agree to annually renew my program’s information prior to the region’s posted deadlines.
  6. I agree to require all juniors participating in any USAV sanctioned activities with my junior outdoor volleyball club to be fully registered in WebPoint.
  7. I agree to require all adults affiliated with my junior outdoor volleyball club to be registered and background screened prior to participating in any USAV sanctioned activities.
  8. I agree to require all junior outdoor coaches in my program to complete the USAV Coaches code of Ethics and to be IMPACT certified at a minimum
  9. I agree to sanction all activities (this includes practices & facilities) with the Evergreen Region office involving USAV members.
  10. I agree that all players & coaches will be registered prior to participating in drills or practice
  11. I agree to only place players with a current USAV membership and coaches with a current USAV membership & USAV approved background screen on a USAV team roster for my program.
  12. I agree to have an outdoor program handbook outlining my programs and services along with my fees at a minimum. I understand that the Evergreen Region highly recommends a written agreement between the club and every participating family that outlines the expectations of both parties
  13. I agree to have a refund policy and a dispute resolution policy and have it posted on my website and/or included in my outdoor program handbook
  14. I agree to comply with the Evergreen Region recruiting and contact policy and to refrain from any/all unacceptable recruiting and contact methods.
  15. I agree to honor the Evergreen Region “out of season” guidelines and recommendations so to not interfere with the high school associations and their respective seasons. Club Directors and their respective clubs and club coaches must adhere to their state’s High School Association rules.
  16. I agree to provide the Spectator & Parent Code of Conduct to every family prior to joining the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball

PRINCIPLE 2 – ETHICS

  1. I agree to be truthful and respectful in my business practices
  2. I agree to behave in a trustworthy manner, always showing respect for all parties involved
  3. I agree to accurately represent the programs and services offered by my club

PRINCIPLE 3 – PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES

  1. I agree to act in a professional manner and demonstrate exemplary business practices
  2. I agree to honor the “intent and/or spirit of the law” when making decisions that may be considered to be in the grey area of the policy, procedure, rule, or guideline. I agree to request clarification from the Evergreen Region office before taking any action if a “grey” area arises.
  3. I agree to honor my outdoor program’s refund and dispute resolution policy
  4. I agree to seek immediate resolution of all disputes and/or conflicts that arise, and will use a neutral third party if the need arises.

Note: Any violation of this Outdoor Director Code of Ethics will result in your junior outdoor volleyball program forfeiting its “good standing” status along with all rights and/or privileges available to clubs in “good standing”, which may include but is not limited to: voting rights, club administrative rights in WebPoint, being listed on the Evergreen Region website club directory, being listed in the WebPoint online registration system, and/or being able to participate in USAV sanctioned events.
