Daily Inspection/Pre-activity Checklist

It is the intent of XXXX School to keep all facilities (both indoor and outdoor) in safe, playable condition. The site staff will make every effort to review the conditions of each playing surface and surroundings prior to all activities and events. Please use the following outline as a checklist when inspecting facilities. Record Yes or No (Y/N) against each check and detail any no in the comment/ action section.

Outdoor facilities

Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday
Playing Surface
Free of debris (i.e. rubbish, glass, stones, etc)
No trip hazards in excess of 20mm
No freestanding water and in a condition suitable for play
Playing surface free of manhole covers, trees, utility access, etc.
Overrun clear space areas free from obstructions
Fencing is secure and free of sharp edges
Lighting adequate
Equipment
Equipment not in use should be far enough off the playing surface so that players running or pushed out of bounds will not collide with it
Equipment in good condition (i.e. no missing bolts, broken parts, etc.)
No equipment should have jagged edges
Training equipment in safe, working condition without temporary repairs

Nets in good condition (no obvious tears)

Exit signs highly visible
