Over recent years, there have been reports of pilots, flight attendants and passengers evacuated to hospitals after breathing contaminated air in the airplane. An internationally accepted definition of aircraft airworthiness is compliance with all the applicable legal requirements / regulations. These requirements include the appropriate Design Standards applicable to the particular aircraft. Non compliance with these requirements render an aircraft unairworthy.
