WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
Psalm 29:1-4
PRAYER OF ADORATION
HYMNS OF ADORATION
What Wondrous Love Is This?
What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this, O my soul! What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss, to bear the dreadful curse
for my soul, for my soul, to bear the dreadful curse
for my soul.
When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down,
when I was sinking down, sinking down, when I was sinking down beneath God’s righteous frown, Christ laid aside His crown for my soul, for my soul, Christ laid aside His crown for my soul.
To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing; to God and to the Lamb I will sing. To God and to the Lamb Who is the great ‘I Am;’ while millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing; while millions join the theme, I will sing.
And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on; and when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on. And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing and joyful be, and through eternity I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on, and through eternity I’ll sing on.
Lo the Storms of Life Are Breaking
Music: Kevin Twit
Lo the storms of life are breaking, faithless fears our hearts are shaking for our succor undertaking, Lord and Savior,
help us!
Chorus: By Thy birth, Thy cross, and passion by Thy tears
of deep compassion, by Thy mighty intercession,
Lord and Savior, help us!
Lo! The world from Thee rebelling, round Thy Church in pride is swelling with Thy word their madness quelling,
Lord and Savior, help us! Chorus
On Thine own command relying, we our onward task
are plying unto Thee for safety sighing,
Lord and Savior, help us! Chorus
CONFESSION OF SIN
Our God, we are grateful that you reveal yourself to us in your Word. But we confess that too often, we have failed to listen to you. We have treated your Word too casually. We have not stored it up in our hearts and minds. We have submitted to other, lesser authorities. Forgive us for our selective hearing. Forgive our tendency to turn a deaf ear to your Word. And grant that we would know forgiveness and renewed hearing because of the Word Himself, our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we pray, Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

HYMN OF PARDON
Speak O Lord
Music and Lyrics: Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
Speak, O Lord, as we come to You; to receive the food of Your Holy Word. Take Your truth, plant it deep in us;
shape and fashion us in Your likeness, that the light of Christ might be seen today, in our acts of love and our deeds of faith. Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us all Your purposes
for Your glory.
Teach us, Lord, full obedience, holy reverence, true humility;
test our thoughts and our attitudes in the radiance of Your purity. Cause our faith to rise; cause our eyes to see Your majestic love and authority. Words of pow'r that can never fail— Let their truth prevail over unbelief.
Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds; help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us— Truths unchanged from the dawn of time that will echo down through eternity. And by grace we'll stand on Your promises, and by faith we'll walk as You walk with us. Speak, O Lord, till Your church is built
and the earth is filled with Your glory.

HYMN OF RESPONSE
There is a Hope
Music and Lyrics: Stuart Townend and Mark Edwards
There is a hope that burns within my heart, that gives me strength for every passing day; a glimpse of glory now revealed in meagre part, yet drives all doubt away: I stand in Christ, with sins forgiven; and Christ in me, the hope of heaven! My highest calling and my deepest joy,
to make His will my home.
There is a hope that lifts my weary head, a consolation strong against despair, that when the world has plunged me in its deepest pit, I find the Saviour there! Through present sufferings, future's fear, He whispers 'courage' in my ear.
For I am safe in everlasting arms, and they will lead me home.
There is a hope that stands the test of time, that lifts my eyes beyond the beckoning grave, to see the matchless beauty of a day divine when I behold His face! When sufferings cease and sorrows die, and every longing satisfied. Then joy unspeakable will flood my soul, for I am truly home.

“The deceit, the lie of the devil consists of this that he wishes to make man believe that he can live without God’s Word. Thus he dangles before man’s fantasy a kingdom of faith, of power, and of peace, into which only he can enter who consents to the temptations; and conceals from men that he, as the devil, is the most unfortunate and unhappy of beings, since he is finally and eternally rejected by God.”
