  1. IMPORTANT: Do the Reading Exam BEFORE the Writing Exam, as the content of Option 1: Stereotypes and the Mediain the Writing Exam is linked to the text (The Impact of Stereotyping on Young People)in the Reading Exam.
  2. Students can choose from 2 options. Students write one text only.
  3. The Student Checklist is a writing tool for students to help them plan their writing.
  4. The Correcting Tools are a system of abbreviations for correcting the Exam, which can be used by teacher and student. If you decide to distribute the Correcting Tools to students, make sure they are familiar with them before the exam.
  5. The Evaluation Grid is a descriptive evaluation tool provided to help you assessstudents’ work. Do modify as needed!
  6. This Writing Exam relates to content from Unit 5: What’s your impression?and Unit 7: What Can Money Buy? However, it is not mandatory to complete these units before doing the exam.
  7. For further Writing Exam options, consult the Project Files at the end of each unit. The writing assignments can all be adapted for examination purposes at your discretion.
