Meeting Notes;

PLC

  • Google Forms for each leader to populate prior to the next PLC
  • SPL to accumulate preferences from PLC members, create a draft PLC agenda to be presented at the beginning of every PLC for discussion and adoption.
  • Leaders give oral reports of activities in their current leadership roles to PLC
  • SM to create new agenda for PLC along these lines
  • Add a scout trip coordinator position to leadership council. Trip coordinator presents next month’s trip details to PLC every month.

Patrols

  • People unevenly distributed amongst patrols. Some patrols have poor attendance.
  • Redistribute scouts in patrols with scouts who attend the most, scatter remaining scouts evenly in the patrols in hopes of getting better patrol participation at outings and meetings.
  • New attendance method. Proposed; a one day attendance sheet
  • Patrol corners; reduce distractions by splitting up patrols into YAAB rooms breakout sessions during meetings
  • All scouts wait for dismissal from SPL after return from a trip.

Cleaning Gear;

  • All gear to be thoroughly cleaned at campsite and cannot be loaded until the SPL or their designee inspects and approves it is ready to load.
  • Consider simple breakfasts on Sunday to make cleanup easier and faster.

Leadership

  • Strike form needs to be created
  • Strike System for disciplinary control. Form signed by the giver and recipient of the strike. After two strikes a BOR is called with boy leaders and adults

Phone/Electronics Policy

  • Proposal from Theo Weimar was presented and debated..
  • Need to be presented to the troop committee for revision or adoption
  • Need to add clause for inappropriate use (xxx images or viewing for example.
