Questions:

  • In your experience, can you give an example of a program or project that did NOT have clear objectives & indicators? What about an example of a program or project that DID have clear objectives & indicators? How did these programs or projects go; what were their outcomes?
  • In current and future projects on education and HIV/AIDS how can we improve the development of objectives & indicators? How can we make sure that our objectives are SMART? Who in our country can help us formulate good objectives & indicators?
  • During this session we heard a few tips on Reporting and Lessons-sharing. Do you have any other tips to share with others in the group? How can we make reports less labor-intensive, less time-consuming and more effective? How can we better share lessons from our work?
  • During this session we looked at the UNAIDS M&E Guide for Prevention Programs for Young People. What aspects of the Guide do you think might be useful for your work?
  • Are there any other aspects of M&E that you would like to share from your experience to the rest of the group?
  • Are there specific aspects of M&E that specific people in your group would like to learn in future workshops?

  • Please think of ONE specific example of a program or project that has NOT been mentioned during this session but that you consider to be “good practice” and that has lessons that can be shared. Why do you consider this program or project to be “good practice”? What lessons can be shared from it?
  • Do you think that your current work in education and HIV/AIDS should be written up as a “case study” to share lessons? If so how would you do this – would you hire a consultant, recruit a volunteer, or write it up yourself? Where would you publish or disseminate the information?
  • During this session we looked at the UNESCO Good Policy and Practice Booklets in HIV/AIDS and Education. What aspects of the Booklets do you think might be useful for your work?
  • Are there any other aspects of lessons-sharing that you would like to share from your experience to the rest of the group?
  • Are there specific aspects of reporting and/or lessons-sharing that specific people in your group would like to learn in future workshops?

Do you have ideas for such projects or programs; what roles would your agency and UNESCO play, and who might fund such initiatives?
