Leadership Academy
This year’s Leadership Academy was a tremendous success for the Directors in attendance. Rob Mance leadership and education was well received by the 25+ students and some great discussion was had throughout the weekend. I have been in contact with Rob since Leadership Academy ended and working on getting the material from his class to share with the District via the Directors Toolbox and Leadership Academy Materials on the District website.
We also ran a “Waiver’s in Waiting” program which essentially discusses hand technique for beginner directors. This program is similar to the Directors of the Future program but less informative as only an hour is dedicated versus a full day. We have uploaded a YouTube Playlist created by the Barbershop Harmony Society on the District Website. The playlist contains 22 videos giving instructions on entry level directing technique. The Directors of the Future Program and Outstanding in Front Program are based on these videos. I will continue to encourage everyone interested in directing to use this tool as homework and reminders as they start their path in directing.

I haven’t made any visits to chapters regarding this program but have provided the YouTube Playlist has mentioned above.

I’m looking for a Date in September for this program to be held at Harmony Hall.
Harmony University
Ontario District Director Scholarships have been awarded for 5 Directors attend Harmony University this summer. Dan Lenz, Dean Bonell, Richard Frenette, Sean Mueller and Pat Hannon
Next Level
I will be keeping contact with Steve Tramack on running this program at some point in 2017.
