Only Citibank Offers Credit Cards with No Annual Fee

Citibank Credit Card - Affordable to All and Available Everywhere

Citibank a.s. is launching a revolutionary concept in the market of bank-issued credit cards. Starting from April 16, Citibank Classic credit card will be offered with ‘NO ANNUAL FEE’ and, together with its other advantages, the card will offer its holders the best services available in the domestic market.

We want the Citibank credit card to be affordable to any suitable applicant and so we have waived the precondition for an annual spend of at least CZK 36,000 to qualify for no annual fee on the card. Beginning by April 16, 2007, our Classic credit card will have ‘NO ANNUAL FEE”,” said Rizwan Qazi, Director of Citibank Credit Cards. He added that Citibank aims to offer the card to all suitable applicants but, also everywhere. “We want to be available for credit card applications at places where our clients visit most frequently from time to time. In order to make it convenient for prospective customers, we sell our cards at kiosks located at shopping malls. People who travel a lot will find our cards at the airport or, at selected Shell gas filling stations. Those who prefer to be serviced from the comfort of one’s home can get our card via the Internet or phone, without the need to come to our branch. Last but not least, and that goes without saying, the applicant can also be serviced at his/her own place of work. Thus, we try to offer our services anytime, anywhere and to anyone, “says Qazi.

Following the introduction of such new terms, Citibank Classis credit card becomes the most affordable and available card in the entire market, while it concurrently offers a wide range of supplementary services. The card offers a unique security features system (the holder’s photo and signatures being imprinted on the card’s front side, regular monitoring of all card-made transactions, fee-free stoplisting and issue of replacement card upon theft/loss), longest no-interest period (up to 55 days), widest range of optional insurance coverage (life insurance, hospitalization insurance, insurance against the card‘s fraudulent misuse, travel insurance), truly unique supplementary services (Cash on Phone, Instalment Purchase, Smart Loan to Card), interest rate starting at only 9.9% p.a. and the option for up to three supplementary cards that are provided to the core card free of charge.

In addition to the above-mentioned, advantaged terms for its Classis credit card, Citibank also gives differentiated treatment to its GOLD card-holders, who aspire to get more from a Credit Card. Beginning mid-April, Citibank Gold Credit Card will be enhanced with a program designed for the most distinguished clientele – Privilege Guide. Holders of Citibank GOLD credit cards will enjoy the interest rate from 9.9% p.a. – 22.8% p.a. (previously, 26.4%), free fraud insurance that covers risks associated with unauthorized card transactions upon the credit card’s loss/theft up to CZK 50,000, significant discounts (up to 20%) from the Privilege Program’s partners, (more than 60 prestigious partners in the area of fashion, gastronomy, accommodation, entertainment and lifestyle) and, a chance to get discounts of up to twice as much from the “Partner of the Month“. The Partner of the Month for March is Beltissimo shops – available is an 11 per cent discount on each purchase of merchandise, plus an extra present will be given. In April, the partner will be the Escada stores offering a 14% discount on its merchandise.
