CINVITATION TO BIDD
Repairs to Town Wharf and Accessory Structures
The Town of Frenchboro invites bids for the following work to be completed in the Town of Frenchboro, Maine on or before January 1, 2011.
Work to be done:
1. The ladder on the boat launch side needs to be replaced. It is preferred that the new ladder be located beside the light pole piling. Lag bolt ladder to both light pole spieling and dock 6x6 framing stringer. The ladder should be at least 16 feet so that it will reach from the beach below up to 3' above the dock decking. The width of the ladder should be 28'' wide from the outside of one rail to the other. Specifications for the ladder should include: galvanized one & a quarter inch [outside diameter] steel rungs spaced 1' apart. Every 4th rung should have a five eights or three quarter in diameter galvanized thru rod with nuts & washers on the outside of the pressure treated 4 x 4's to hold the 4 x 4's tight together the entire length of the ladder. P.T. rails should be without heart wood and without curl, warp or twist. 2. Replacement of five plank boards on the town wharf. Wood for this work has been provided and should not be included in the proposed bid. Please contact the Harbor Committee Chair, Marissa Rozenski (334-4444) for the specific placement of the boards.

All bids will be due by mail or in person by Monday November 15, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Town Office, 1 Executive Drive. Bids will be opened and if possible a decision will be made at the regular meeting of the Selectboard, Town of Frenchboro.
