ONE CHANGE COMING WITH APRIL PRICE GUIDE UPDATE
One change in the Random Lengths Lumber Price Guide is coming with the April 7 issue.
A column for Inland Red Cedar #3&Btr boards graded on both faces will be added next to the traditional #3&Btr column on Page 7 of the 12-page weekly Random Lengths report.
This column of 1x4-1x12 prices will capture the market for a higher quality Cedar board that is more commonly produced today and generates a substantial premium to its traditional counterpart.

IMPORTANT NOTICE for Random Lengths Lumber EMS (Electronic Media Services) database and spreadsheet subscribers.
Price guide changes will take effect Friday, April 7, 2017, for Lumber.
An article about the upcoming Price Guide changes that appeared in Random Lengths March 10, 2017 is below, and in the attached Word doc. If you have any questions, please let us know. Attached to this e-mail message is:
-- Price_Guide_Change_Information.doc, a Word doc with the price guide change information, including new and retired tags.
-- Tags-Before-After.xls, a spreadsheet which will show the before and after changes that we are making
-- RL_Tags.xls, the revised Price Item Code Key (spreadsheet format) that contains label names in place of prices, in the same position they appear in the publication
-- RL_Tags.pdf, the revised Price Item Code Key (PDF format) that contains label names in place of prices, in the same position they appear in the publication
FOR DATABASE SUBSCRIBERS:
The new Lumber Description file Lbr_desc.csv, is attached. Midweek items are referenced in the Lumber and Panel Description files. These cross-reference tables contain complete text and key-word descriptions for all price guide labels.
