Dear Patrons and Supporters of Reitz Memorial Athletics,

Tradition and excellence define athletics at Memorial. The 2016-17 school year proved to uphold those standards as our 19 Varsity programs excelled and represented our school at the highest of levels. Our school continues to produce the type of leaders and people that we can be proud of. Recently, five of our newly graduated student-athletes scripted the following “Thank You” message to their classmates and to our fan base:

“It has been one awesome year for Memorial Athletics. We have won at every level, from each Fall Sport winning a Sectional to Boys’ Soccer winning the State Championship. 2016-17 has been a great run in the history of Memorial Athletics. As fans, we want to thank our classmates who put “Memorial” across their chest and poured their blood, sweat, and tears into their sport. This school has been driven by passion for over 90 years and you all have contributed to that success. As athletes, we also would like to thank the fans. From Enlow, Stone, Nativity, Traylor Family, to our own Gymnasium, we had the best cheering section in the SIAC, IHSAA, and the USA. To look up from the sidelines to see all the blue and white, or the theme of the game was just so cool to see you all there to support us. Memorial has the best fans, and we were happy to represent you all this school year. While we are passing the torch to the Class of 2018, the passion we have for Memorial will stay with us forever.” – Class of 2017.

I want to thank you for your previous support and I ask you join us again and become/renew your membership within the Memorial High SchoolAthletic Booster Club for the 2017-18 school year. Our immediate goals are to improve the club’s operational activity and to enhance active participation. In opening the 2017-18 school year, an event that isa Memorial tradition in supporting all of our athletic programs is our Annual Steak Night, scheduled for Saturday, September 9th.
