Deceuninck is proud to announce that its innovativeTwinson single base material has obtained PEFC certification, further emphasisingthe company’songoing concern for the environment. Seamlessly blending tradition and innovation, Twinson combines the natural look andfeel of wood with the durability and ease of maintenance of PVC.Besides substantial environmental benefits including 100% recyclability, Twinson now also boasts PEFC certification.
Setting the bar high
PEFC, short for Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, is an international global umbrella organisation that promotes best practices in forestry and ensures that wood products are made according to the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. PEFC works via national forestry validation systems and certifies forests and their continual replanting as well as products containing certified wood. Such products are entitled to bear the PEFC logo, a trusted trademark recognised throughout the world.
Deceuninck products 100% recyclable
All of Deceuninck’s products are 100% recyclable. Twinson itself is a unique material made of fast-growing pine wood and PVC, and is also 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Its scrap is collected and re-extruded into new products, without loss of quality.
PEFC certification of Twinson is just one more confirmation of Deceuninck’s ongoing concern for the environment. Twinson thus offers customers the additional guarantee of a natural product – fast-growing pine – that is continuously replanted.
Twinson: best of both worlds
Twinson, an innovative single base material developed and produced by Deceuninck, merges tradition and innovation into one concept, using the best of both worlds: it combines the natural, warm look and feel of wood with the ease of maintenance of PVC.
Since Twinson contains natural fibres, it obtains a natural patina after installation. What’s more, Twinson is a highlydurable material that requires a minimum of maintenance and care (see twinson.com for more info).
This stylish, high-end material is available in eight natural colours, is highly slip-resistant even when wet,and is water-resistant, robust and splinter free.
Twinson: countless outdoor applications
Twinson is available for a number of outdoor ground covering (O-Terrace & O-Terrace+) and wall cladding applications (O-Face).
