PYTHIAN DAY PICNIC
The seventy-five or so Pythians and Friends who gathered at Lafayette Acres for Pythian Day enjoyed good food, good weather (not too hot for a change) and good fellowship. The auction raised $468.00 for the Grand Chancellor and Grand Chief’s charity projects ($234.00 for each.) We owe a hearty thank you to Art and Judy and everyone who helped set up, prepare and organize the event.
GRAND LODGE ELECTION RESULTS
Last month I neglected to report on the outcome of the election for Grand Lodge Trustee that was held in May at the various lodges. The Grand count was held at Lafayette Lodge #37 on Saturday, June 13. The ballots were tabulated by a committee composed Don Treadway, PGC, Tom Beers, PGC, and Mike Johnson, DDGC. The Grand Chancellor and Grand Secretary were also present. We have two new Grand Lodge Trustees who will be installed at the Grand Lodge Sessions in September. They are Martin Trent, PGC #205 and Dale Sipe, PGC #234.
INITIATION CLASS
There will be a three rank initiation class held at Ingomar Lodge 610 Lexington Avenue, in Springfield on Sunday August 9th. The festivities will commence at 1:00 PM.
GRAND LODGE AND GRAND TEMPLE SESSIONS
The Sessions will be held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 4900 Sinclair Rd., Columbus, Ohio September 9th through 12th. (They are done with their remodeling.) They rooms are $81.00 plus tax (down from $85.00 last year). For reservations call 614-846-0300 and mention the Knight of Pythias to get the special rate.
Notice to all Grand Lodge Officers—make your own room reservations and notify Don Baker what you want for the Friendship Banquet.
FRIENDSHIP BANQUET
The Friendship Banquet will be held on Friday night and will consist of roast beef or chicken or vegetable lasagna and will be $30.00. Don Baker is in charge of the banquet tickets. His address is 222 Friendship Street, Medina Ohio 44256. His phone number is 330-722-3582.

OHIO SOCIETY WIND DOWN BANQUET
The Ohio Society, Dokkie and Nomad, Wind Down Banquet will feature an Italian Buffet consisting of: Mixed Garden Greens with an assortment of dressings, cucumber/onion vinaigrette salad, chicken Parmigiana, vegetarian lasagna, pasta served with Alfredo and Marinara sauces, meatballs, green beans (well done), soft garlic sticks, rolls, butter and beverage.
