HUGH’S RUMINATIONS
As we head into warmer weather, we should to have safety on our minds because many children will outside playing. Also watch out for bicycles and motorcycles. I would like to remind the District deputies who have not turned in their lodge inspection reports to please get them in as soon as possible as time is late. If you have Downs Syndrome 25/25/50 raffle tickets, please turn them in to me so I can see where we stand. IN MEMORIUM
The Great Ruler again invaded our ranks on Tuesday, April 10 2012 and chose our Pythian Brother R. Vernon Houser to join him. Vern was a member of the Grand Tribunal and was the long time secretary of Talmadge Lodge #194 of Mount Sterling. There were at least thirty Lodge Brothers from all parts of the Domain in attendance for Pythian Lodge Services on Thursday, April 12, 2012.
THE GRAND LODGE K of P, DOMAIN OF OHIO, IS HAVING A PICNIC
Owatonna Lodge is having their Annual Picnic in conjunction with the Grand Lodge again this year at the West Woods Park at the Deer Run Shelter. This is off state route 87 close to the intersection of SR 306 which is east of Cleveland. To be exact it is in Novelty (aka Russell), Ohio.
The date is July 29, 2012, (Sunday) so please reserve the date. The picnic should be a lot of fun for old and young as it was last year even if the rain was really coming down. We will picnic from 12 noon till whenever.
We will have a covered shelter, picnic tables, an extra large grill and games for the adults and kids. You do not have to bring your picnic lunch. Owatonna Lodge will supply pop, ice, and dessert, hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad and a surprise dessert. . Please contact Harvey Palchick at or David Shedroff at

2012 DOMAIN OF OHIO CONVENTION
The 2012 Grand Convention of the Grand Lodge and Grand Temple of Ohio K of P is being held at the Double Tree Hotel/Cleveland South, 6200 Quarry Lane, Independence, Ohio 44131. You may request your playing partner, if you do not have a partner, you can be paired with another golfer. Use the form provided or another sheet of paper for your entries. Include the names, home addresses, and telephone number for every one listed. If they qualify for the senior division(60 and over) and wish to play in that division check the appropriate slot. If the player is a guest, check that slot. Please include email addresses. This information is important to maintain an accurate mailing list and so that I can contact you if necessary.
There will three separate divisions: regular, senior, and guest. Seniors will use different tees, but you must tell me which division you wish to play in before play starts on Saturday or I will assume you are playing in the regular division.
Guests are encouraged to play. Hopefully they will want to join our Pythian Order. Guests will be grouped together for prizes and will not count toward the team trophy.
