2017 Toyota Shootoff
Official Rules and Procedures
Qualifications:
1. One (1) 2017 Hoopfest Customized Toyota 86 will be given away in the 2017- Toyota Shootoff contest, concluding at Hoopfest on June 25, 2017. The 2017 Toyota Shootoff is provided courtesy of the Inland Empire Toyota Dealers Association. The 2017 Toyota Shootoff contest is organized and operated by Hoopfest.
2. The sole winner of the 2017 Toyota Shootoff contest will win a 2017 Hoopfest Customized Toyota 86 provided by the Inland Empire Toyota Dealers Association. The 2017 Hoopfest Customized Toyota 86 will be on display during the contest.
3. Contestants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
4. No purchase is necessary to win. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries and contestants.
5. A $10 fee will be charged to all contestants in the Preliminary Qualifying Round. A person may only qualify one time for this contest.
6. The contest winner is responsible for all taxes and license fees pertaining to the 2017 Hoopfest Customized Toyota 86, which must be satisfied prior to its receipt. The winner will be entitled to actual possession of the 2017 Toyota 86 sometime during the week following the 2017 Hoopfest tournament.
7. Employees of any Inland Empire Toyota dealer, Hoopfest, Hoopfest board members, spouses and immediate family, E2 Media, and all identified, direct promotional partners associated with this contest, including their parents, spouses and children, are ineligible to win this contest.
8. Contestants must sign any appropriate qualification certificate and waiver as required by Hoopfest.
Definitions:
1. Spokane Hoopfest Association: A Washington nonprofit corporation and tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Hoopfest”).
2. ½ Court Shot: A basketball shot taken from an identified location placed approximately 47 feet from the base of the specified basketball structure. Participant must not step over identified line; to be determined by line judge.
3. 3-point Shot: A basketball shot taken from an identified location placed approximately 19 feet, 9 inches from the center of the rim of the specified basketball structure. Participant must not step over identified line; to be determined by line judge.
Procedures:
1. Thursday, June 22 from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Preliminary Qualifying Round: three ½ court shots. Make one of these three shots to advance to the Quarterfinal Round. Cost: $10
2. Friday, June 23 from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Preliminary Qualifying Round continues. Cost: $10
3. Saturday, June 24 from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Preliminary Qualifying Round continues. Cost: $10
4. Sunday, June 25 from approximately 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. - Preliminary Qualifying Round continues. Cost: $10

5. Sunday, June 25 from approximately 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. - Quarterfinal Round for all qualifiers and pre-qualifiers: One 3-point shot. If a shooter makes the 3-point shot, he/she advances to the semifinals. Those who miss the 3-point shot are out of the contest. If no individual makes the 3-point shot, this round will repeat until at least one individual makes the shot.
6. Sunday, June 25 from approximately 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. - Semifinal Round for all quarterfinalists who advanced: One 3-point shot. If you make the 3-point shot, you advance to the finals. Those who miss the 3-point shot are out of the contest. If no individual makes the 3-point shot, this round will repeat until at least one individual makes the shot.
7. Sunday, June 25 from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Finalists must be present at 3:30 p.m - Final Round for all semifinalists who advanced: One ½ court shot. If only one person makes the ½ court shot, that person wins the designated 2017 Toyota 86. If two or more make the ½ court shot, those individuals advance and those who missed are eliminated. If no one makes the first ½ court shot, the semi-finalists will shoot a second time from ½ court, subject to the same procedures as described above. In the event the second round of ½ court shots are completed without a single winner, the third and remaining rounds of finals shots will occur: One 3-point shot. During the Final Round, contestants will be eliminated on a “make it or out” basis until only one individual makes the shot in any given round and remains. The person making his/her last shot during the Final Round, when all other remaining finalists have missed their shot, wins the 2017 Hoopfest Customized Toyota 86.
8. Shooting times are subject to change. Contestants must check the posted times at the designated court. Failure of a contestant to be present during the posted times will result in disqualification.
9. If a contestant steps on or over the designated shooting line prior to releasing the ball, the shot is not valid and will be counted as a miss. A Hoopfest line judge will make this determination and such decision shall be final.
10. Eligibility, age and claims made by winners are subject to verification. By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, likeness and photographs for advertising, trade and promotional purposes in all media without additional compensation.
11. By entering the 2017- Toyota Shootoff contest, participants agree to release Hoopfest, Inland Empire Toyota dealers, E2 Media, and all identified, direct promotional partners associated with this contest, and their agents, from all liability, claims, action, or proceedings relating to the contest or use of the prizes.
12. All determinations and interpretations of the Official Rules and Procedures pertaining to this contest shall be made at the sole discretion of Hoopfest, or its assign, and shall be final and conclusive. Furthermore, these Official Rules and Procedures are subject to change due to circumstances outside the control of Hoopfest, including without limitation, state registration requirements and adverse weather conditions or scheduling delays.
