Two held for violation of Copy Right Act :- Acting on a complaint of authorized representative I.M.I. company, Local police of P.S. Mansrover Park conducted raids at Bala Communication Shop, Loni Road and Friends Communication, Karawal Nagar. During raids memory cards, computer and Card Reader were seized from the respective shops. The owner of shops namely Gaurav Bansal, and Rabin were arrested as they were found indulging in loading the songs in mobile phones unauthorisedly. A case under appropriate section of Copy Right Act has been registered. Investigation is in progress.

Proclaimed Offender arrested :- Lahori Gate police have arrested one Samsher, aged 38 years R/o Madan Giri from his house. According to DCP/North office, Patiala House Court had declared him a P.O. in case of NDPS Act of P.S. Sangam Vihar.

One held under NDPS Act :- Lahori Gate police have arrested one person namely Sahabul, aged 30 years R/o Jhuggi Shahid Basti, Lahori Gate, Delhi. According to DCP/North office, on seeing police patrolling staff, Sahabul tried to flee but he was apprehended after a brief chase. On his personal search, 105 pouches of smack (total about 6.30 grams) were recovered from his possession. He has been booked under NDPS Act. Investigation is in progress.

Public help is sought in identifying the bodies :- Railway Main Delhi police have sought public help in identifying the following bodies :-

1.  A male, aged around 50/55 years, Ht. 5’7”, sallow complexion, thin built, wearing yellow stripped shirt and pants, found on 16.1.08.

2.  A male, aged around 40/45 years, Ht. 5’6”, sallow complexion, long face, thin built, wearing black & badami colour two jackets, found on 16.1.08.

3.  A male, aged around 40 years, 5’6”, wheatish complexion, long face, wearing blue pants and cream T-shirt, found on 15.1.08.

Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 50/55 years, Ht. 5’5”, sallow complexion, round face, lanky built, wearing white shirt and white payjama, found on 15.1.08

MOST DESPERATE CRIMINAL WANTED BY DELHI POLICE VIJAY DAHIYA @ BODHA ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH, DELHI.

Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha of Village Halalpur, Kharkodha, Sonepat has been arrested by Special Operation Squad of Crime Branch. The desperate criminal had escaped from judicial custody in Gurgaon when being taken for medical examination in hospital. Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha has committed two murders after escaping from judicial custody. Delhi Police had declared a reward of Rs. 50,000/- on his head in October, 2006. Haryana police has also declared a reward of Rs. 30,000/- for his arrest.

TEAM AND INCIDENCE

Special Operation Squad, Crime Branch has been targeting interstate and desperate criminals operating in Delhi and adjoining States. Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha has been a terror in the States of Haryana and Delhi after his escape.

Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha had killed Kuldeep @ Lila of Village Halalpur & Ram Mehar of Village Nahara District, Sonepat and threw their dead bodies in Yamuna canal. Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha committed these murders because he believed that Kuldeep and Ram Mehar had supplied information about him to his rival gang. Two murder cases have been registered in Bawana police station of Delhi where the bodies of victims had been discovered.

CRIMINAL HISTORY OF VIJAY DAHIYA @ BODHA

The dangerous criminal , Vijay Dahiya has been involved in at least 25 cases of murders, robberies, extortion and Arms Act.

In the year 1998 Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha had killed a school teacher Suresh Kumar for taken away sister of one of his associate Ram Dhan. The school teacher was killed at point blank with a sophisticated weapon.

In 1999 Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha got into liquor contracts. He killed a rival Contractor Sunil Malik by firing from a close range. A case of murder was registered in P.S. Farukh Nagar in Gurgaon District in this connection.

When Manoj Malik, brother of the deceased Sunil Malik was pursuing the case in court, the desperado killed him also by firing from a close range.

The desperation and the dangerousness of Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha is apparent from the fact that while inside jail for earlier murders and crimes, he killed one Jasbir & Jasoo who was also his inmate in Rai, Sonepat jail. Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha had arranged a pistol within the jail premises and murder was committed inside the jail.

In 2004, Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha along with his associates killed one Narvir, a Lawyer and President of Palwal Bar Association as Narvir was having land dispute with one Rati Ram of Palwal.

In 2004, Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha killed mother and sister-in-law of Ramdhan @ Leela who was earlier his associate but turned rival later on.

ARREST

Special Operation Squad under ACP Rajbir Singh targeted Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha and had come to know of his hideouts in Ahmedabad, Indore & Jaipur. A team of Inspector Ved Parkash targeted him in Jaipur while other teams looked for him in Ahmedabad & Indore.

Information was received by the team that relatives of Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha were living in Chitrakut Colony, Vaishali in Jaipur. Head Constable Raja Ram & Ct. Ajit were on surveillance duty. On 17.1.08, HC Raja Ram & Ct. Ajit came to know that Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha was inside the suspected building. They informed ACP Rajbir Singh for re-enforcement and kept a watch. Before the team could reach Jaipur, HC Raja Ram & Ct. Ajit noticed the desperate criminal leaving the house. Not taking chances, HC Raja Ram & Ct. Ajit, at a grave risk to their lives before the re-enforcement could come, pounced upon the criminal and after a long scuffle, overpowered the criminal.

HC Raja Ram and Ct. Ajit arrested the desperate criminal and started for Delhi. While HC Raja Ram drove the vehicle, Ct. Ajit controlled the criminal. The second team of Special Operation Squad which has been rushed to Jaipur met the police team on the way in Rajasthan and the desperate criminal was brought to Delhi.

RECOVERY OF SOPHISTICATED WEAPON

While in Delhi, Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha was interrogated by the team of Inspector Ved Parkash. Accused Vijay Dahiya @ Bodha disclosed that he had kept a sophisticated weapon in Chhawla village at his brother’s place. A search was carried out and a .32 mm US made weapon was recovered. A case u/s 25 Arms Act has been registered at P.S. Najafgarh.

The team of Special Operation Squad, particularly HC Raja Ram & Ct. Ajit, are being recommended for suitable recognition.

The Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Delhi Police in another crackdown on the infringed DVDs, MP3 CD network, has seized on 17-1-08 more than 1500 pirated DVDs, MP3 CDs from one Mohd. Mujammil Khan who was found indulging in the sale and stocking of infringed DVDs, MP3 CDs of different Hindi Movies like, Halla Bol, Tare Jamin Par, Metro etc. The instant case was registered on the complaint of Authorised representative of Indian Music Industries Company. The raid was conducted on specific information by IPR section at New Bhagat Singh Market, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi - 110017.

HIGHWAY TRUCK ROBBERS ARRESTED : STEEL INGOTS WORTH

Rs. 18 LACS RECOVERED

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of two persons namely I) Tarif Singh, aged 26 years S/o Dhan Singh r/o Village Maheshpur, Palwal, Faridabad, Haryana and ii) Sachin, aged 20 years, s/o Virender Singh r/o Molarband Extension, Badarpur, Delhi, the South District Police has busted a gang of truck robbers and recovered 270 steel ingot worth Rs. 18 lacs from their possession.

INCIDENT & TEAM

An information was received in the Police Station Badarpur that some persons used to sell the looted articles to one Salim Kabbari of Molarband Extension, Badarpur, Delhi. The information was further developed and intelligence regarding such persons involved in this kind of activities was also gathered. To nab the criminals a Police team consisting of ASI Tej Ram, HC Hari Singh, Cts. Abdulla, Jagdish, Chaman led by Inspr. V.P. Dahiya, SHO/Badarpur was formed under the close supervision of Sh. Bhisham Singh, ACP/Sarita Vihar. Through the sources developed by the Police team it came to notice that a gang involved in looting trucks at highways would come with some looted articles to Salim Kabbari on the night of 15.1.08. The Police team laid a trap near the shop of Salim Kabari at Molarband Extension. At about 11.30 p.m. a tempo No. HR-38-IC-8458 arrived at the above mentioned shop. While some persons were unloading the tempo, the Police team raided and arrested Tarif Singh and Sachin, while Salim Kabari managed to flee from the spot. On checking of shop police team recovered 4 pieces of steel ingot weighing 170 Kg. each and 34 pieces of steel ingot from the tempo.

INTERROGATION

During the sustained interrogation both the accused revealed that they alongwith mastermind Lokesh r/o DDA Flat, Badarpur, who is also leader of this gang, used to rob the trucks on highways and after looting articles from these trucks they used to sell these articles to Salim Kabbari and trucks at Kokotta, West Bengal. Two days before they have looted a truck No. HR-55-G-1919, while it was on way to Indore from Palwal, near village Narhali, Nawada near Mathura, U.P. The truck was loaded with 270 steel ingots. After looting the truck they kept all steel ingots in a godown at Mathura and sold the truck to one Khalid at Kolkotta, West Bengal. They made a deal with Salim Kabbari and as per plan they were supplying first delivery of 38 pieces of steel ingots to Salim Kabbari. They have also disclosed that at the time of raid at the shop of Salim Kabbari, the mastermind Lokesh was sitting in a Summo van, nearby the shop, who fled away from the spot, as police raided the place.

Efforts are afoot to arrest the Lokesh and Salim Kabbari. More recoveries are likely to affect in this case.

PROFILE

Beside looting the trucks on highways, Tarif Singh alongwith Lokesh are also involved in auto lifting from different areas of Delhi and Faridabad. They used to sell the stolen vehicles in the different areas of Kolkotta, West Bengal. Tarif and Sachin are also working as bouncer in pubs.

RECOVERY

270 steel ingots weighing 170 Kg. Each worth Rs. 18 lacs (approx.)

A PERSON POSING HIM AS CHIEF REPORTER OF A NEWSPAPER ALONGWITH HIS FATHER ARRESTED FOR GRABBING PROPERTIES.

INTRODUCTION

South District Police has arrested two accused ( father and his son) namely I) R.K. Singh, aged 40 years and his father ii) Balram Prasad Singh, aged 62 years, s/o Ayodhya both residents of J-419, Arpan Vihar, Jaitpur Extension, Badarpur, Delhi, for cheating a person and grabbing his properties by making forged documents.

INCIDENT & TEAM

Complainant Praveen Gupta reported in Police Station Badarpur that a person namely R.K. Singh, who posed himself as chief reporter of two national dailies, has grabbed his properties by making forged documents. He further complained that the said R.K. Singh and his father have threatened him with dire consequences in case he tries to enter his properties. On his complaint an enquiry was entrusted to SI Girjesh. During the enquiry it came to fore that R.K. Singh and his father Balram Prasad Singh came close to complainant Praveen Gupta one year ago and impressed him by posing himself as chief reporter of a leading newspaper. After some time, by taking plea of ill health of his father, R.K. Singh managed to get a room at J-419, Arpan Vihar, Jaitpur Extension, Badapur, from the complainant on a friendly manner. Later on he took possession, on his own, of all the four rooms of the said property. Few days later complainant Praveen Gupta was shocked to know that the said R.K. Singh has also grabbed his properties located at D-5/B, Saurabh Vihar (consisting of 7-8 rooms) and a plot at A-5, Khadda Colony, Jaitpur Extension Part-II, (measuring 1100 Sq. yards), by making forged documents. It also came to notice during the enquiry that accused R.K. Singh has installed a telephone at D-5/B, Saurabh Vihar, by showing himself as owner of this property.

On verification of the documents produced by accused R.K. Singh, the same were found to be forged. Accordingly a case of cheating, forgery and threat was registered at PS Badarpur and both father and son were arrested.

INTERROGATION

During the sustained interrogation it revealed that R.K. Singh works as advertisement commission agent but he poses himself to be chief reporter and by taking advantage of his so called post he used to cheat and threat the common men of the locality. Investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to ascertain their other involvements.

GANG OF ROBBERS BUSTED

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of 5 persons namely I) Slauddin, aged 20 years, s/o Gaur Ali, r/o District Khullana, Bangladesh, ii) Hatim Mandal, aged 22 years, s/o Fazul Mandal r/o Distt. Nadia, West Bengal, iii) Surjeet, aged 29 years, S/o Ramjas, r/o Fatehpurberi, Mehrauli, Delhi, iv) Azad, aged 25 years, s/o Allauddin r/o Mehrauli, Delhi and v) Kasim Shekh, aged 23 years s/o Muslim Shekh r/o Distt. Nadia, Bangladesh, the South District Police has busted a gang of robbers and burglars and foiled an attempt to commit dacoity in a house in the area of Chattarpur, Mehrauli. The Police team also recovered 1 country made pistol with 1 live cartridge and 3 button actuated knives, 1 iron rod and 1 torch from their possession.
